This summer, Fox TV stations and Debmar-Mercury will test a one-hour "talker" show with Father Alberto Cutie, who left the Catholic Church to get married and have a family, and is now a priest at an Episcopal Church.

Here's what a statement by Debmar-Mercury had to say about the show:

"Father Albert's wide cross-over appeal, incredible story, encouraging advice, open mind and charismatic personality make him a natural fit for daytime television. We are excited to provide English-language audiences with the opportunity to discover why Father Albert has struck such a chord over the past decade with millions of fans throughout the U.S., Canada, Spain and Latin America."

And here's what a Fox Television Group statement had to say about the program:

"This really completes our roster with Debmar-Mercury: Tyler Perry, Wendy Williams, South Park, Jeremy Kyle and, now, a minister. Seriously, daytime television could use a fresh face and a distinctive voice. We believe we've found one in Father Albert Cutie, whose unique perspective makes him perfect for this role."

We can't say we're surprised that Fox would make a move like this.

Guess we'll see if Father Albert brings in the audiences. We're thinking he probs will.

Despite the cancellations of As The World Turns and Guiding Light, CBS has renewed its popular soap opera The Young and the Restless until the 2013-2014 season!

Days Of Our Lives has also been renewed for two more years.

We're not losing all of them! Phew!

She can't stop talking about it.

Ellen DeGeneres was very upset by Lady GaGa's choice to wear the infamous meat dress on her show — especially since she's a vegan!

Ellen says:

"I was like, 'Can she please change because this is going to be very awkward and this is a daytime show.' It's not the VMAs. She's gonna show up doing this and then it's gonna air tomorrow during daytime and then she's sitting, ya know, on my show in a meat dress and it's gonna be weird for her.

"Whether you're vegan or not, it's just weird to be sitting next to somebody wearing slabs of meat on their head and their body. It's gross, you know. Even if you eat meat, it's gross."

Ty Pennington's contract with ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition ends in spring of 2012 and now his team is working on getting the host a daytime show as well.

They're looking into other networks besides ABC and are hoping for a transition similar to Joy Behar's from daytime to primetime who also kept both time slots on The View on ABC and her own show on HLN.

Audience research suggests he'd do well with a daytime show and we don't see why not!

He's a hit considering his Q scores run higher than all daytime hosts aside from Ellen DeGeneres!

Rosie O'Donnell is getting a new talk show on Oprah Winfrey's upcoming OWN cable network!

Oprah says:

“Rosie is an undeniable talent who has captivated TV audiences for nearly 20 years. She’s a true original, who brings her authentic voice, dynamic energy and pure passion to everything she does.”

The show will be a "fun, uplifting show with Ms. O'Donnell's playful and energetic style." Rosie adds:

"It's an honor and a privilege to work with Oprah Winfrey on her network. I'm excited to be back on daytime television."

The show will debut sometime next year.

Thursday's episode of The View with President Barack Obama drew the biggest ratings EVER in the history of the daytime talk show.

Despite disapproval of his appearance from some critics, the episode was watched by 6.6 million viewers.

President of Daytime Television for Disney/ABC Brian Frons said:

"It was wonderful to have Barbara Walters back for the interview with President Barack Obama, her first interview since her heart surgery, and together all five co-hosts did what they do best, ask the questions that are on our viewers’ minds.”

Perhaps viewers were waiting for Elizabitch Hasselbeck to open up her big mouth and embarrass herself in front of the President??
