A stroke of casting genius?

Warner Bros. is still figuring out the recipe for success with its DC Comics properties, and Ben Affleck seems to be their hero (not one the studio deserves, but the one it needs right now) with his solo Batman movie.

Things got more interesting when Affleck — who is writing and directing, in addition to playing the leading role — revealed that the villain would be none other than Deathstroke!

We know a few celebs who'd beg to differ!

While reviews for Suicide Squad haven't been as marvelous as they could be… that doesn't mean the cast is about to stop promoting the DC Comics tent-pole film.

In fact, Jared Leto may have gone a tad too far while talking up his Joker on the cover of GQ Style this month — because he just shared some potentially controversial views on homosexuality with the mag!

Suicide Squad Squanders Its Stars' Potential In A Dull Mess Of A Movie — Read Our Disappointing Review Roundup!

no title

In contrast to Marvel Studios' streak of successes, DC Comics just hasn't been able stick the superhero genre without enraging their fanbase — not to mention critics!

After a gloomy Man Of Steel and depressingly boring Batman V Superman, many fans hoped Suicide Squad would inject the franchise with some colorful, deranged fun.

But based on the first wave of reviews, this psychotic but lovable band of misfits tries a bit too hard to be the next Guardians Of The Galaxy — and due to director David Ayer's clunky script, the story is one candy-coated mess.

While critics admit Suicide Squad is more fun than its bleak predecessors, it's apparently very messy fun — full of way more flashbacks than actual plot…

From the hypersexualization of Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn to the tonal shifts of Will Smith's Deadshot to the disappointing absence of Jared Leto's terrifying Joker, the film seems to have disappointed more than it thrilled.

Are YOU planning on seeing Suicide Squad in theaters this weekend? Before you go, brace yourself for the reviews (below)!

Superhero Showdown! Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson & Kevin Hart Wage War On All The 'Marvel B*tches' At The 2016 MTV Movie Awards!

Was that a little awkward for anyone else, or was that just us?

During Sunday's broadcast of the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, the ceremony's hosts Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart decided to call out all the Marvel actors in attendance.

It seems as though Batman and Superman put their differences aside, since the funny guys dressed up as the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel to throw some shade at Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, and Samuel L. Jackson!

We aren't surprised that the comedian and the Baywatch star sided with D.C. Comics on this one, considering the award show was shot on the Warner Brothers lot!
