Superhero Showdown! Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson & Kevin Hart Wage War On All The 'Marvel B*tches' At The 2016 MTV Movie Awards!

Was that a little awkward for anyone else, or was that just us?

During Sunday's broadcast of the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, the ceremony's hosts Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart decided to call out all the Marvel actors in attendance.

It seems as though Batman and Superman put their differences aside, since the funny guys dressed up as the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel to throw some shade at Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, and Samuel L. Jackson!

We aren't surprised that the comedian and the Baywatch star sided with D.C. Comics on this one, considering the award show was shot on the Warner Brothers lot!

Not everyone hated the superhero flick, but BvS was generally panned by the critics, which shook some fans' faith in director Zack Snyder!

Regardless of the film's lack of critical praise, the DC cinematic universe is about to expand faster than Ben Affleck's biceps, and not everyone wants Snyder in charge of that show — specifically, helming the upcoming Justice League movie!

J.K. Simmons Leaves Spider-Man Behind For Major Role In Justice League — But He's Not The Only Star To Play More Than One Comic Book Character!

Batman better watch out for flying cymbals!

Zack Snyder's latest casting addition for his Justice League movie might give fans a bit of Whiplash — as it's been reported that J.K. Simmons has been cast as Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming film!

The Oscar winner will play the Gotham City police commissioner in the two-part action flick — joining Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), who team up Avengers style to defeat whatever evils come their way!

Obviously, this won't be the first comic book character Simmons has portrayed on the big screen — the actor played fast-talking publisher J. Jonah Jameson in the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies.

Fans had been hoping he would reprise his role in the upcoming reboot, but with this new part we're guessing that's off the table…

But the 61-year-old isn't the first actor to make the jump from Marvel to DC Comics and star as more than one comic book hero! Find out which other stars have donned multiple superhero costumes (below)!
