Wow, we guess those dating rumors were true. Which makes this all even more messed up!
Now that Taylor Swift's third album, Speak Now, is finally being made available to listen to select critics, information about some of the tracks is starting to make its way on the net, and it appears that the song Dear John isn't just referring to the anonymous letter or the Minge Seyfried movie - it may actually be about John Mayer!
When discussing the album, Swift admitted:
"They're all made very clear. Every single song is like a roadmap to what that relationship stood for, with little markers that maybe everyone won't know, but there are things that were little nuances of the relationship, little hints. And every single song is like that. Everyone will know, so I don't really have to send out emails on this one. There's still names that I used. Wait till you hear those."
The song apparently goes:
"Dear John/I see it all now that you're gone/Don't you think I was too young/To be messed with/The girl in the dress/Cried the whole way home/I should've known."
"It was wrong/Don't you think nineteen's too young/To be played/By your dark, twisted games/When I loved you so."
"My mother accused me of losing my mind/But I swore I was fine…"
"You'll add my name to your long list of traitors who don't understand/And I'll look back in regret I ignored what they said/'Run as fast as you can'."
That is some serious stuff right there.
And if we're supposed to take the lyrics completely literally, then wow, John Mayer - this is pretty low.
Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner have nothing on you.
But good for T-Swizzle for calling him out so openly! So brave!
We cannot WAIT to hear the entire album!
