Defense Attorney Claims Nicollette Sheridan Was NEVER A Main Character On Desperate Housewives!

defense-attorney-claims-nicollette-sheridan-was-never-a-main-character-on-desperate-housewives

Ouch! This has got to sting!

Nicollette Sheridan's wrongful termination lawsuit trial for her firing from Desperate Housewives has been getting pretty intense today, with the actress describing in detail an instance in which she alleges that creator Marc Cherry smacked her while filming a scene, and now, the defense attorney is firing back - BIG TIME!

According to Adam Levin, who is attempting to prove that the death of the Edie Britt character was not an unusual move for a network show but a creative choice, Sheridan was never one of the main cast members, as opposed to the other four stars - as she was not featured in group shots for the show's opening sequence, she was only nominated for a Best Supporting Role Golden Globe, and that's why she was paid less than the others!

Furthermore,

We are very disappointed to hear this.

According to new reports, Ryan Gosling, who recently starred as a stunt driver/getaway man in Drive, was actually arrested for driving under the influence back in 2005!

The actor was pulled over and arrested on May 17th, 2005 by authorities, and later pled "no contest" to a misdemeanor charge of "exhibiting speed," despite being initially charged with "driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs" and "driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or greater," and was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay $849 in fines!

Casey Anthony's Lawyer Speaks After Shocking "Not Guilty" Verdict

casey-anthony-lawye-jose-baez-speaks-after-trial.jpg

Just moments about Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her daughter Caylee, her lawyer Jose Baez spoke about the shocking verdict, claiming, "there are no winners" in the case.

He said:

"I really do have mixed feelings over the whole situation. Caylee has passed on far, far too soon and what my driving force has been for the last three years has been always to make sure there is justice for Caylee and Casey because Casey did not murder Caylee. It is that simple. And today, our system of justice has not dishonored her memory by a false conviction."

The defense attorney took credit for Casey not getting the death penalty by adding:

"The best feeling that I have today (is) I know when I go home my daughter will ask me what did you do today? And I can say I saved a life."

As for his client, Casey, he continues:

"I'm ecstatic for her, and I want her to be able to grieve and grow and somehow get her life back together."

Well, he is right about one thing: There are no winners in this case. No matter what anyone says, a little girl lost her life way too soon.

Defense Attorney Delivers Closing Argument In Anna Nicole Smith Case

anna-nicole-smith-case-clos.jpg

We're so thankful that this whole case is finally coming to a close.

Howard K. Stern's lawyer, Steve Sadow, gave his closing arguments in the Anna Nicole Smith case on Thursday, telling jurors that Stern was "a guy whose been with her since 2001. Witnesses have said he cherished her, loved her. She was the love of his life."

He also attacked the prosecutors, accusing them of "deceiving jurors" with misleading evidence and trying to win the case "at all costs," rather than telling the truth. One of his examples included a testimony from a witness who suggested that a picture of Smith with a bruised face was the cause of an argument with Stern.

Sadow argued that Smith actually had gone under cosmetic surgery, which would have caused the bruising. He told the jury, "These were introduced by the prosecution to give you the impression that Howard Stern had done something to Anna and they know it isn't true."

During his argument, Sadow actually turned to the prosecution and questioned, "How do you do this in a courtroom?" he shouted. "You don't deceive the people making the decision. Judge Robert Perry was forced to step in and remind the defense attorney to speak to the jury and not direct his remarks to the prosecutors in the court room.

Sadow's finished his arguments, saying, "She decided to deal with her chronic pain with medication. It's the patient's decision as long as the patient knows the choices she has."

Sad. We just hope this whole thing ends as soon as possible.
