Passenger Sues Delta After Getting Stabbed By An Old Hypodermic Needle Left In His Seat!

More drama for Delta airlines!

Airlines continue to be in hot water!

The latest controversy uncovered on Tuesday involves a lawsuit against Delta after a passenger was stabbed by a stray needle when reaching into his seat pocket.

Gabriel Ybarra claims his finger was "bleeding profusely" after being pricked while searching for his wallet on a 2015 flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta, according to TMZ. He also adds "his life flashed in front of him."

In addition to undergoing a year of tests, he was even prescribed meds to ensure he didn't contract any diseases or viruses like HIV.

The lawsuit docs also describe how Gabriel's prescriptions caused chronic dizziness, headaches, body aches, "explosive diarrhea," and how he was unable to complete "his duties as a husband to his wife for months."

No word from a Delta rep on their legal troubles, but a spokesman did say they were "dismayed by what this customer describes in the suit" and that "the safety and security of our customers and employees is always Delta's top priority."

We'll let you know if there are any updates!

It's truly a small price to pay…

As we reported, United Airlines changed its overbooking policy after the company was BLASTED on social media for forcibly dragging Dr. David Dao off a crowded flight.

According to new rules, the airline can only deplane a passenger if it's absolutely imperative that a crew member make the flight in order to work another flight AND if he or she arrives an hour before boarding.

In order to avoid a PR nightmare like United, Delta Air Lines recently rectified its policies, and you can make some serious dough if you're willing to give up your seat!

On Friday, the Associated Press obtained a memo where officials said Delta gate agents can offer up to $2,000 (originally from $800), and supervisors can offer up to $9,950 (from $1,350) to a willing passenger.

Last year, DAL paid more money to bumped travelers than any other airline.

Delta FTW!

Delta Air Lines Loses Woman's Kitty

Filed under: Icky Icky PooOops!Sad SadPETAPetsCat

delta airlines loses womans cat

This seems pretty inexcusable to us.

California woman Michelle Evans sent her cat Patch on a Delta Air Lines flight from Cairo, Egypt to NYC's JFK airport, but the airline claims they lost the cat.

Here's how Michelle reacted when she was informed that her cat had "broken out of" its carrier:

"I was frantic, I was hysterical, and the first thing they did was shove $200 (for Patch's ticket) in my hand. I said 'You've got to be kidding. This is the last thing I care about, the money. You lost my cat.'"

Looks like Delta security officials tried to claim that the cat got "enraged" and broke out of the carrier, but they refused to let Michelle see the carrier itself.

Since then, she's been frantically trying to find her cat by contacting animal rights organizations in Egypt and PETA, posting a $500 reward for her cat's return, and she EVEN started a "Find Patch" blog.

Here's what Delta spokeswoman Susan Elliot has said about the airline's animal transportation safety:

"…We even have zoos that entrust us with their exotics. These escapes are due to some unfortunate situations. We take our responsibility of transporting our customers' animals extremely seriously."

We hope Michelle is able to find her missing cat, but we've gotta say we're sketched out.

Sounds like something may have happened to Patch's carrier, and it sounds like Delta is trying to cover it up.

Very sad.

airlines making lots of money off of baggage

If you already dislike checking baggage, you'll like it EVEN LESS after hearing this!

According to the Transportation Department, the top 20 largest American airlines have collected a total of $2.6 billion in baggage fees SO FAR in 2010.

We can only imagine how much they'll make over the holidays!

Airlines are making 23 percent more than they did this time last year AND they're making over 5 times more than they did in 2007, when they made $464.3 million in baggage fees!

Delta Air Lines is making the most off of baggage, with $733.2 million in the bank so far for 2010. American Airlines and US Airways are next in line, with $431.8 million and $388.1 million so far.

…We wonder how much we can shove into our carry-on…
