Apparently no place is safe for celebrities' expensive possessions, except maybe a panic room.
A storage facility in North Hollywood definitely isn't safe, as Demi Moore recently found out.
According to reports, actress was robbed of $200,000 worth of haute couture from inside her storage unit, which hadn't been visited in about six months.
The theft was discovered when one of her assistants visited the unit on Monday and noticed a large amount of empty space where items used to be kept.
Regrettably, it might be very difficult to recover the stolen goods and find the thieves, because the security tape of the area doesn't go back far enough to account for the six-month time span during which the crime may have occurred.
Demi's team believes the burglary might have been orchestrated by someone working at the storage facility, as there was no sign of forced entry or of tampering with the lock.
Currently the 52-year-old is putting together a list of her losses.
Needless to say, this is a really unfortunate set of circumstances for the actress, and we sincerely hope law enforcement officials are able to track down the thieves.
