Jason Wu is a collaborating fool!
After designing a very successful collection for Target, Wu is now partnering with Nordstrom to launch Miss Wu, a younger and more contemporary line.
The designer says the line is his most personal one yet:
"Instead of just doing ‘Jason Wu-for-less,’ the idea is to explore the other side of myself. I always see Jason Wu [the collection] as my aesthetic, my design sensibility. Miss Wu is my personality. It was really fun to explore that facet of who I am — slightly more downtown, and with a more relaxed attitude."
Wu describes the mod-inspired, 40 piece collection as

If you were hoping for a Dolce & Gabbana for H&M or Target collaboration, stop snorting that "hopium" because it ain't happenin'!
In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, Domenico Dolce turned up his nose at the very idea of it:
"Recently, it’s all “trusciume” [in Sicilian, cheap, trashy] — there’s no quality, these fast-fashion companies churning out looks. People thought it was cool, but it’s cheap. You can’t expect quality at 20 euros [$27]. It’s like good codfish at 5 euros [$6.70] — how can it be?"
Hey, they may be cheap but they also sell like hotcakes!

After news broke on Friday that French Vogue's Carine Roitfeld would be resigning, the fashion world started speculating on what she'd do next.
Many believed she and Tom Ford would be collaborating again, just like they did in the 90s when the designer was at Gucci and then Yves Saint Laurent.
Unfortunately, that's not happening.
Tom squashed those rumors almost immediately, telling the New York Times:
"Carine and I have no plans to work together at the moment, and it is nothing that we have even discussed, but of course I think she is brilliant and we are close friends so who knows about the future."
And there you have it.
At least there's still a possibility. Maybe on his next womenswear collection?
