Ke$ha Encourages Parents To Talk To Their Kids About Cancer

Everyone remembers that awkward parent-child sex talk, right? However, not too many people can recall ever having an awkward conversation about cancer with their parents.

A new campaign from the organization FCancer has been launched to put an end to late stage diagnosis cancer.

Cancer Talk 2.0 features various celebs like Ke$ha, Amber Rose and Fran Drescher making personal videos to encourage families to sit down with their kids and have a conversation about cancer.

Their goal is to save lives by educating people to detect and find cancer early, instead of waiting around for the disease to find us! For this to work, it has to start at home and it has to start young!

90% of all cancers are curable in the first stage, so don't wait and make sure your family knows how to detect it!

Such a wonderful cause!

Jamie Lee Curtis has signed on to be a spokeswoman for Give Hope With Every Cup, a partnership between the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Dannon in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The campaign hopes to educate women on checking for lumps as well as providing free mammograms to those who cannot afford them.

Dannon is committed to donating 10 cents to National Breast Cancer Foundation for ever every product code entered by their customers, with the guarantee that the charity receives a $500,000 donation!

Curtis explains:

"There is not a woman alive who hasn't had some contact with breast cancer, either through a friend or through her own experience with it. I had my own personal moment of truth 10 years ago when I had a biopsy done on a small, questionable lump in my breast. It was scary. Everything turned out fine, but it brought me very close to understanding how lucky I am to have access to all these resources and great doctors. There are a lot of women who cannot afford these tests. You get involved because of your heart. … You're moved to do it. Anyone who's sat with a woman going through breast cancer treatment or with a child undergoing a procedure in the hospital knows that there is nothing more helpless than that moment. For me, there is no more important work — besides being a good mom to my kids — than using my celebrity to get more exposure for a specific cause such as this. As a public figure, my job is to spread this good word."

She is such an inspiration!

We cannot applaud her enough for her constant, tireless efforts to give back and help those less fortunate!

It's so nice to see celebrities put their fame to such good use!

Thanks for taking a stand, bb! Who knows how many lives you'll save by doing so?
