This is heartbreaking. We hate to hear that there are still people in the world with such ignorance in their hearts. Just devastating.

Nathan Carroll, brave young gay man in Tennessee, is being threatend with suspension from his high school because he tried to start a Gay-Straight Alliance group. After being tormented and teased by his classmates, Nathan thought it was time to have bring some education to his school, so that he might find more acceptance. Instead, he found more hatred and homophobia than we can even stand.

Here's hoping he and his friends find a way to fight the ignorant powers that be and make a real difference in the community, for themselves and others like them.

There have already been so many kind donations made to Joplin, Missouri after the devastating tornadoes, but the community still needs your help!

Despite Joplin High School and 5 other district buildings being destroyed, the school re-opened on Wednesday in makeshift buildings in a mall.

Kim Vann, district director of community development, has said to sources:

"We expect the need for clothing and basic supplies to be great this year because of requests in just the last week or two."

Any donations to Joplin schools by Aug. 31 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $500,000, by the UAE.

Funds will be used to help rebuild the landscape with trees and other planting projects with donations, as well as outfitting their students with necessary school supplies.

We can't even begin to imagine what this poor woman must be going through right now.

We were shocked and saddened to discover this morning that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong's estranged husband, Russell, took his own life last night, and it appears that the reality starlet is so devastated that she hasn't been able to tell their 5-year-old daughter together, Kennedy, the awful news.

We're glad to see she's managed to stay friends with at least one of her ex's. No seven minute opus to him!

Last night, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner shared a few friendly moments together at the Teen Choice Awards. If there was any friction between them leftover from their breakup, you can't see it here.

Good. So long as nothing devastating happened between them, they should be able to stay friends. They're both young and understand each other in this industry. It's important to have friends like that.
