Talk about development hell!

A big-screen adaptation of the '60s TV classic The Man From U.N.C.L.E. has long been rumored to be in the works, with talent like Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney's names attached at various points, but it had FINALLY seemed like production would be getting off the ground when Guy Ritchie signed on to direct and Tom Cruise agreed to star as Napoleon Solo!

However, the actor has reportedly thrown a wrench into the mix by dropping out at the last minute!

Sources close to the situation reveal that

Can't say we're entirely surprised to hear this. The guy they previously hired to work on the script was a newcomer, after all!

Anne Hathaway As Barbarella?

anne hathaway as barbarella in remake of jane fonda movie

Looks like they may have FINALLY have found their Barbarella!

After years being stuck in the depths of development hell, it looks like the Barbarella remake may finally be gaining some legit steam!

It's still in the rumor stage, but the word going around is that Anne Hathaway is now attached to the film's title role, following in the steps of Jane Fonda.

This would def be something different for Hathaway! Certainly a far cry from Love and Other Drugs or Rachel Getting Married.

What do U think? Would U like to see Anne Hathaway as Barbarella?

Aquaman Movie Dropped!

Yeah. We're sure everyone will be positively crushed that this isn't happening.

The proposed movie for the superhero Aquaman has finally been taken out back and shot after getting caught in development hell!

Apparently now, producers plan to just throw him into the upcoming ensemble super hero movie Justice League!

A source explains:

"They were struggling to put together a film that would have been good enough to translate to screen. Aquaman is a difficult character to have in a solo movie because his Rogue's isn't good enough compared to characters like Batman and Superman. He also doesn't have the back up characters and writing proved difficult which is why Warner Bros. and DC decided that they should drop the solo movie and just put him in JLA with a little intro, most likely as the King of Atlantis who is approached by the rest of the League."

Makes sense!

We just don't think his character is interesting enough for a stand alone movie! Or a stand alone anything, for that matter?

Wasn't there going to be a show on the CW about him, too?

Oh well!

What do U think?? Are U disappointed that Aquaman isn't getting his own movie??
