Now these are some strange bedfellows…

On Thursday, the Oscars announced Lady GaGa will have a very special introduction to her performance of Best Original Song nominee Til It Happens To You — Vice President Joe Biden!

For those who don't know, Joe is a big supporter of decreasing rapes on college campuses across America, so it makes sense he would intro the track, which is all about sexual violence awareness.

The VP also started the "It's On Us" campaign which encourages students to intervene if they know a sexual assault is taking place AND drafted the Violence Against Women Act.

As for the big show on Sunday, we wonder how J.B.'s slightly eccentric and humorous personality will mesh with the musician's serious tone, especially since the topic is also very sensitive. We guess only time will tell…

So, do YOU think the academy chose the right presenter for this performance?

That was fast!

Earlier today, we reported that songwriter Linda Perry called Lady GaGa's involvement in writing Til It Happens To You into question!

In a string of shady Tweets, Perry questioned if the pop star really deserved to be credited as a co-writer on the track — which scored an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song last week — and claimed Diane Warren wrote all but a couple words.

Linda Perry Blasts Lady GaGa's Oscar Nomination — Says She Didn't Actually Write The Powerful Til It Happens To You!

Last week, Lady GaGa scored an Oscar nomination for Til It Happens To You, the haunting song she cowrote with Diane Warren for the documentary The Hunting Ground.

While no one can argue that the track was powerful enough to score a nod for Best Original Song, one critic is saying that GaGa shouldn't have got nominated for it — because she barely wrote it!

Linda Perry, who wrote hits like Christina Aguilera's Beautiful and Pink's Get This Party Started, took to Twitter to drop some award season shade.
