So the screenwriter who wrote The Amazing Spider-Man just sold a spec script to Sony called White House Down, which is about a paramilitary takeover of the White House.
The project is being compared to Die Hard and the studio knew just who to go to when they were looking for a director to properly destroy the President of the United States' home — Roland Emmerich!
The blockbuster filmmaker has

Jai Courtney has been tapped to play Bruce Willis's son in A Good Day To Die Hard. The Aussie beat out his fellow countryman Liam Hemsworth.
The fifth installment will have John McClane in Moscow where he meets his estranged son, Jack.

Liam and Bruce sittin' in a tree………
Back in September, we heard that Liam Hemsworth had signed on to The Expendables 2 in the role of a sniper!
Now, we're hearing that Liam will likely be spending EVEN MORE time with Bruce Willis, because he's currently the frontrunner for the role of John McClane's son in
Die Hard 5: Die Harderer A Good Day to Die Hard.
Other actors up for the role include Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul and Gotti: In the Shadow of my Father's Ben Foster.
We def think Liam could be an inneresting choice for this role…although
Jesse Aaron could be a good pick as well!
Who would U like to see as Bruce's son in
A Die Hard Day's Night the fifth Die Hard flick???

20th Century Fox has officially greenlit the fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise starring Bruce Willis, now titled A Good Day To Die Hard, and is shooting for a February 14th, 2013 release date!
In other unnecessary sequel news, also expect Taken 2 to drop October 5th, 2012, and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters on March 27th, 2013!
Yes, we know!
We can't believe we have to wait over a year for all of these gems, too!

Looks like John McClane isn't dead yet!
Bruce Willis has revealed that a Die Hard 5 is "imminent" saying that "the coin is about to drop in the slot machine."
We guess that means we're going to be tortured with another Die Hard movie.
Screenwriter Skip Woods has already begun working on the script.
When asked if Len Wiseman will return as director, Bruce replied, "Don't know. Don't know if we've gotten that far…"
We don't think we can stomach another Die Hard movie! Does anyone want to see old fogey Bruce Willis running around like a young action star?? Just end the series already!
