Watch Out, Google! Apple Securing Deal For Streaming Music With Record Labels!

We assumed it would only be a matter of time before they jumped on this bandwagon!

A source close to Apple has revealed that the company is close to securing deals with all four major recording companies about a new music service that will reportedly allow users to stream music stored on computers to portable devices, to avoid one having to use up storage space and connect devices to transfer songs!

According to the insider, the deal - with Universal, Sony, EMI Group, and Warner Brothers - will allow for 'downloading, mobile use and streaming,' and will officially be announced at the Apple annual developers' conference on June 6th!

Uh-oh! We wonder what this will mean for the Google and Amazon cloud music plans!

Either way, it sounds like all three projects will ultimately help get us get our music faster AND easier, so we're pretty psyched!

What do U think?? Are U looking forward to more stream-based tunez??

You get it, ladiez!

Taylor Swift is the RIAA's princess right now as she has been crowned as the Top Digital Single Artist of 2011.

Making history with 22.5 million career digital song certifications and going Gold AND Platinum, she's clearly unstoppable right now.

Meanwhile, Adele is not only making waves across the pond, but she's also making music news here in the States as she has sold more than one million copies of her sophomore album, 21. Not only has the album gone platinum, but her popular first single, Rolling in the Deep, went gold with 500,000 digital downloads.

Having two platinum albums in both the U.S. AND the U.K. is HUGE!!

We are SO, SO proud of Swifty and Adele! This is just the beginning, ladiez!

Katy Perry's Firework Explodes On The Charts! Reaches Over 4 Million Downloads!

That's pretty cool!

As of today, Katy Perry's single Firework has sold 4,051,000 digital copies, making this her fourth song to reach that mark. Adding to the accomplishment is the fact that no other artist in digital sales history has had four songs reach this plateau before, making her pretty much the queen of music downloads!

For the honor, she beat our Lady GaGa, Rihanna and will.i.am, who even had two Black Eyes Peas songs count in his favor and he still didn't overtake her number.

Now that's something!

Congrats, congrats, congrats love! What a stellar accomplishment! Go make four more that will do the same thing!

Original Glee Songs Take Over iTunes!

We guess it doesn't matter if it's original music or covers - Glee is an un$toppable cash cow!

Tuesday's episode of the smash series premiered their first foray into all-original music, and two of these tracks, the Max Martin-written Loser Like Me and Adam Anders track Get It Right, have hit the top two slots on the iTunes chart, racking up nearly 200,00 downloads since release!

Holy shiz! That's in only TWO DAYS!

As happy as we are for their success, however, we hope that this won't become too much of a habit for them!

We like the show best when the know the songs to sing along to!

What do U think?? More original music for Glee or back to covers??
