Super Bowl Suffers A Slight Hit In The Ratings From Last Year's Numbers!

While we'd like to give a big "CAW" of congratulations to the Seahawks, unfortunately there was no blowout victory for another type of animal: FOX!

With the numbers just starting to come in, 96.88 million viewers watched the Super Bowl on FOX last night, which is down from last year's grand total of 108.69 million that CBS lured in!

The Super Bowl (aka the more aggressive, less cute version of the Puppy Bowl) earned ratings of 34.4/67 last night in the 7 PM to 10 PM time slot in the 18-49 demographic.

This means that 34.4% of all households in that demo were watching, while 67% of people watching television at the time were watching the game!

That's down 13% in that coveted demo from last year! Math!

Although it was a slight dip from last year, the game was still among the top 5 highest rated Super Bowls ever! Not too shabby!

You're A Dip, We're A Dip, Let's All Eat Some Warm Crab Dip!

There is something about a hot and bubbly crab dip that makes people go crazy every time! I recently asked Facebook fans to submit a favorite dish they would like to see as a 4 ingredient recipe! Bruce from West Hollywood, California suggested a Hot Crab dip, and I was excited for the challenge. I love purchasing fresh canned crab at the seafood counter; you get all the taste without the hassle. If you can't find crab, substitute raw chopped shrimp or canned albacore tuna. Thanks Bruce for the idea … give it a try and let us know what you think!

8 ounces (1 package) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
8 ounces crab meat
1/2 teaspoon seasoning (like horseradish, old bay, chili or paprika)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Combine all ingredients together. Put in oven safe dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Serve with your favorite crackers, bread or vegetables for dipping, and enjoy!

Spinach & Yogurt Dip: Healthy and DELISH!!!!

Sometimes you need to just get your dip on!!

Of course, you need to make sure you aren't shoveling a bunch of unhealthy things into your mouth with the dip on them — that's counter productive to having a healthy dip! So, make wise choices!!

Here's the healthy Greek yogurt loaded with nutrients, though:

Ingredients: 2 bunches fresh spinach, ½ cup water, 3 tbs. canola oil, ½ cup onion chopped, 2 cups Greek yogurt, 1 tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. black pepper and ¼ tsp. garlic powder.

Preparation: Wash spinach, drain and chop into coarse pieces. Cook in sauce pan with water for 5 min. Drain, then chill. In a small pan, simmer onions in oil, then add spinach. After onions are cooked, add yogurt, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir and chill. Serve with pita bread, carrot sticks or whole grain crackers.

Benefits of Spinach are: loaded with iron, vitamin K, vitamin C and potassium

Heinz Introduces Improved Ketchup Packet

French-fry-eaters rejoice!

Heinz has introduced the new Dip & Squeeze, which allows people to squeeze out ketchup or use the packet as a dipping container.

The company is rolling it out in Chik-Fil-As across America. To help promote it, Chik-Fil-A is offering free fries to anyone who asks for the new ketchup packet between the hours of 2 and 4 pm this Friday.

Are we allowed to be excited about ketchup?

Um, let’s say yes! LOL!
