It's disheartening that this still happens today! It is 2014, people!

Shonda Rhimes, the creator of many hit dramas on ABC received the Director's Guild of America Diversity Award on Saturday alongside Scandal executive producer, Betsy Beers.

While this is a very honorable award, it obviously irked the creator of Scandal, and she had to say what was on her mind!

The Grey's Anatomy creator said upon knowing of her win:

Jennifer Aniston made an appearance at the Director's Guild of America Awards this weekend wearing her favorite: a strapless little black dress.

It's a predictable choice, but thankfully the brocade and sequin applique on her Dolce & Gabbana frock makes it more exciting.

To finish off her look, Jen wore her usual strappy sandals and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.

Amber Heard's In The Navy

Amber Heard brought sexy back to the Directors Guild of America Awards Saturday night.

The blonde beauty looked hot in a navy blue Roland Mouret dress that was sheer enough to show off her nude panties.

At least she was wearing some, right?

This look reminds us of the navy number Amber wore to the premiere of The Rum Diary, which is a good thing because the color is amazing on her.

Eva, Zoe & Olivia To Make Their Glamourous Directorial Debut

Eva Longoria, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde are all turning director for Glamour magazine's Reel Moments project.

For the project, each actress got behind the camera to tell the story of a real Glamour reader.

Eva's short film is about Alex, a 35 year old who gets a double mastectomy. The Desperate Housewife explains:

"First of all, it was a surprisingly humorous story for such a serious topic. It also demonstrated the camaraderie and close friendship of a group of women who are trying to help their friend give her boobs a proper send-off before her double mastectomy. And it had a great story arc. These are short films, and you need to be able to tell a story in less than 20 minutes."

Zoe's short focuses on Kaylien, a school girl who is autistic and feels like an alien. Saldana was inspired by the story after her 7 year old niece was bullied and thought "shedding light" on that was important.

Saldana also cast some big names in the 20 minute flick: her The Words co-star Bradley Cooper and Malin Ackerman.

As for Olivia, she's using the experience to make herself a better actress. She said:

"I’ve always kind of mourned the small number of female directors in this business and I kind of complain about it a lot without doing anything. So instead of whining about there being a lack of female directors, why don’t I become one and create my own story."

All three of the films are set to premiere on October 24th at the Directors Guild of America Theater here in El Lay.

Christopher Nolan Is Snubbed By The Academy Awards AGAIN!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooFilm FlickersAwardz

christopher-nolan-snubbed-by-academy-awards-best-director-nod

Understandable! If we were to give one complaint about the nominations, this would definitely be it!

Out of all the just-announced Academy Award nominations, it seems that the most backlash seems to be coming from Inception director Christopher Nolan's omission from the category of 'Best Director!'

While he was on the list of nominees - alongside Darren Aronofsky, David Fincher, David O. Russell, and Tom Hooper - for the 2011 Directors Guild of America, he is the ONLY one who didn't pick up an Academy Award nomination, instead being replaced by Joel and Ethan Coen!

And this is the THIRD time it's happened - he was previously nominated by the DGA for Memento and The Dark Knight, but snubbed when the Oscar nominations came around!

What gives?!

We think that given the consistently innovative and original material he produces, he deserves his name on that list! It's more than about time, guys!

Thoughts??
