Watch the World’s Largest Shark Tank on LIVE Webcam

Yes, your prayers have been answered!

To get psyched for Shark Week, the Discovery Channel teamed up with the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta to place a live streaming peephole in the aquarium’s Ocean Voyager exhibit!!

The exhibit, which was designed to house whale sharks, holds 6.3 million gallons of seawater, enough to fill nine and a half Olympic swimming pools. It is home to seven different types of sharks, including enormous whale sharks, vicious-looking sand tiger sharks, and bottom-dwelling masters of disguise called spotted wobbegongs.

It also holds several other species of fish and four manta rays, the only manta rays ever to live in a U.S. aquarium.

Despite the popular image of sharks as creatures of speed and violence, the view in the tank is peaceful and soothing.

But we're sure it'll get fun during feeding!

We Did It! Victory In Florida!!!

YES!!!

Remember this video , which we made for PETA last month?

Well, we're thrilled to announce that the bill that would have banned the filming of animal abuse on factory farms in our home state of Florida has officially died!

This is a victory for animals and protects the valuable undercover work that is so important in revealing cruelty to animals.

Unfortunately, similar bills in Iowa and Minnesota are still pending. A citizen's right to document cruelty to animals wherever it occurs is crucial in helping local, state, and federal officials enforce anti-cruelty laws.

Even if you live outside Iowa and Minnesota, you can still help stop these bills! The meat from slaughtered animals crosses state lines, and the governments in these states need to hear from all consumers across the country—from meat-eaters to vegans—who care about the treatment of animals who are killed for food.

Click HERE to urge the governors of Iowa and Minnesota to veto any of these bills that reach their desks!

How NOT To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Filed under: Sad SadAnimal RightsAnimal CrueltyDonkey

How NOT To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Not Cute.

Some restaurants get festive with some streamers and a piñata. Others spray paint a live donkey, tag it with their company name and chain it to their entrance.

That is exactly how Pink Taco in Century City celebrated Cinco de Mayo.

Wonder what marketing dimwit, sloshed off too many overpriced margaritas, came up with the genius idea.

The glaringly pink donkey, standing in 85-degree-plus heat, was sighted by several concerned passersby, who instantly turned to Twitter and Facebook.

An officer gave Pink Taco a cease and desist order, making the restaurant take down the "display" as it didn't have a permit. The officer checked for signs of animal cruelty, and found that the paint was not toxic and adequate food and water were provided.

Zoo Director Wants Knut Stuffed!!!!!!

Don't Suff Knut!!!!!

WTF???

The world's most famous polar bear dies and the zoo’s director decided to stuff its body and put it on display in a museum. (The director prefers the technical term, dermoplastik, though to most people it’s stuffed.)

The leader of the protest movement that hopes to stop the planed taxidermy said “When someone dies in your family I think you don’t want him stuffed in a museum."

Even the grinch would agree with that.

Speaking of the nasty and greedy - the nemesis of the anti-stuffing crowd is the zoo’s director, Bernhard Blaszkiewitz.

Ya know… the same dude who zoo marketed this bear from birth, made millions off its presence, sold plush toy Knuts for nearly $30 and Knut baby videos for the same, and even registered “Knut” as a trademark.

Now, Mr. Blaszkiewitz says he is shocked at how much people feel for this animal, who died, quite suddenly, at the age of 4 ½ last month.

"The problem is, people take their human feelings and put them into animals,”

he said, adding that the candles and flowers and posters that mourners have deposited at the zoo are "silly."

If ur in Berlin, please find Blaszkiewitz (just follow the smell of children's tears) and kick him in the balls.

Thanks.

"Scummiest CEO Of The Year" Hunts Elephants Without Apology

Just wrong.

Bob Parsons, the CEO of GoDaddy.com, has killed at least one elephant and a leopard for his personal enjoyment.

It has been well established that elephants are capable of experiencing emotions, including joy, anger, grief, and sympathy. Killing a single elephant can devastate a family, and their mourning ritual over the death of a family member rivals any that we humans have developed.

Parsons is hiding behind the lame claim that killing elephants helps farmers in Africa whose crops are damaged by the animals. In fact, there are ample effective and nonlethal methods to deter elephants from crops.

When Parsons found out PETA was naming him "Scummiest CEO of the Year" and sending him a certificate.

The scumbag doesn't care. He said "I'm framing it and putting in my office."

gross.

Please take a moment to send an e-mail to Bob Parsons letting him know that you won't use GoDaddy.com's services until he stops shooting animals.

Artistic Pigs Tattooed In China

Tattooed Pigs Are Art In China

Motorcycle gangs aren't the only pigs with tattoos.

Crowds are flocking to Art Farm China in Yang Zhen, Beijing, where a Belgian artist displays his colourful sows and boars.

The animals are still on display to farm visitors while they are anaesthetised and decorated with designs by Wim and his co-artists.

One super-trendy porker even features a Louis Vuitton logo – which presumably quickens the process on the handbag production line.

Others sport tattoos inspired by patterns found on Russian prison inmates.

But animal rights campaigners complain that the pigs are suffering unnecessarily and are being abused for improper commercial gain.

We don't see what the big deal is - the pigs are just trying to express their individuality.
