The upcoming Chinese New Year marks the beginning of the year of the dragon, but on A&E, it may be the year of Dog.

Dog The Bounty Hunter premiered for it's 8th season with 2.9 million total viewers, which is it's best premiere since the 3rd season and a 70% increase in average viewership in adults 25-54 compared to the show's 7th season.

The reality show was also the most watched entertainment show on cable in 10pm time slot. The stellar ratings helped A&E become the number one entertainment cable network in primetime amongst adults 25-54 and 18-49 for the night.

Guess the old saying is true — every dog has its day!

Wait, what? Isn't that a little…backwards?

Source report that yesterday, Nicolas Cage was released on a $11K bail bond after being arrested on charges of domestic abuse and disorderly conduct, by none other thanDuane "Dog" Chapman.

Apparently, Dog The Bounty Hunter went against his profession and with his wife Beth in tow, went down to the jail to get Nic released.

What in the world! Since when are you guys friends? Where did you all meet? Why were you in Louisiana? We're they filming your reality show?

There are so many things we don't understand about this!!!

Do the crime, do the time….but maybe it won't come to that.

Last month, Dog the Bounty Hunter's daughter Lyssa Chapman was arrested for allegedly harassing her neighbors at 3AM by banging on their door and damaging a window. Today, she was officially charged with criminal property damage and harassment

Both of the charges are considered misdemeanors, so it is very unlikely that when she appears for sentencing on April 19th, she will be given any jail time.

Still, this could turn out to be just strike one for her. Hopefully, she'll keep her nose out of trouble from now on!

Dog the Racist Bounty Hunter is getting sued by Hoang Nguyen, who has a new arrest warrant out for him. Excuse us for a moment, while we take a shower before continuing to write about this.

Nguyen is suing Dog for damaging his reputation. Apparently, on his show, Dog and his crew said Nguyen shot at them first. Awesome grounds for a lawsuit! WTG Nguyen!

WTG also for your new arrest warrant, Nguyen, for failing to file proof of completion of a public service program after a 2008 charge of driving with a suspended license.

Nguyen: You’ve been arrested more than 12 times. Dog: You’re a racist douchebag.

Is there a way this can work out poorly for both of you? We really hope so.
