All right, what?!

We were thrilled to find out back in May that this year's upcoming VH1 Divas special would pay tribute to the life and music of dearly departed Whitney Houston, and couldn't wait to learn the line-up of talent to be featured for such an occasion!

However, we're pretty confused to report that in spite of the concert's namesake, this year's line-up warrants that it be re-named VH1 Former Disney Darlings!

That's right, the officially announced tribute to both Whitney and Donna Summer will include performances from Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, and Jordin Sparks!

…again with the HUH?

While we understand the latter's inclusion, given her involvement in Sparkle, and enjoy ALL the ladies as artists, we just find ourselves a little disappointed that producers couldn't land anyone with a little more, ahem, 'clout!'

Death is a sad fact of life.

We've written about A LOT of famous faces that passed away over the last year and we weren't too happy about it, but we are happy to see them being remembered at the Emmys (above).

Andy Griffith, Michael Clarke Duncan, Phyllis Diller, Heavy-D, Andy Rooney, Steve Jobs, Patrice O'Neal, Whitney Houston, Donna Summer, Tony Scott, Mike Wallace, Ernest Borgnine, Dick Clark, and SO MANY more wil be dearly missed.

Rest in peace and THANK YOU ALL for the countless hours of entertainment you've provided for us over the years!

Not only did he surprise Miz Independent with a special performance of her smash hit Since U Been Gone, he mystified the audience with an enchanting tribute to Donna Summer too!

We've seen some tacky magazine covers in our day, like this one of Newsweek's haunting Princess Diana, but Globe really knows how to take the cake!!

Capitalizing on Robin Gibb and Donna Summer's tragic deaths, the tabloid actually has the audacity to ask which celebrity will die next! And we know who they're betting on with those horrible photos of Liza Minnelli, Heather Locklear, Demi Moore, Nick Nolte, Mary Tyler Moore, George Jones, and OJ Simpson!!

Okay. We'll admit most tabloids are guilty of pushing the limits every now and then, but this is the lowest of the low!!! Calling it rude would just be the understatement of the year.

Stick to the apocalypse stories! Even those were less horrific!!

Looks like Idol is pulling out ALL the stops for their season 11 finale tonight!

While we previously mentioned that Kristin Chenoweth will be performing Donna Summer’s Enough Is Enough with Barbra Streisand finalist Jessica Sanchez, that’s just the beginning for the show’s performances!

The girl finalists will hit the stage with an all-out Donna tribute and will be joined by Gloria Gaynor, Thelma Houston, Gladys Knight, Nelly Furtado, Sheila E. and Jennifer Holliday!
