So happy for her!!

In her very first Golden Globes nomination EVER, Maura Tierney came away with a HUGE victory!

The talented actress was named Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Limited-series, or TV Movie at this year's 2016 awards for her role in The Affair — and based off her speech, it seemed like she didn't expect to win!

Tierney beat out a talented crew of women for the award, though: Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black), Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey), Regina King (American Crime), and Judith Light (Transparent) all fell to Tierney in the second Golden Globe presentation of the night.

The award was very well-earned, but her acceptance speech?!

Hmmm…. not so sure.

downton abbey star fiance died

This is just heartbreaking.

On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery's fiancé John Dineen has died at the age of 34. The Irish PR professional's passing comes after a battle with a rare form of cancer.

The brunette beauty's rep confirmed that her love died on Sunday while in hospice care — only two days before her own birthday. Apparently, the Emmy nominee flew back from the U.S. to Ireland and was by John's side as he passed away at the Cork's Marymount Hospice.

Dineen, who had previously worked in London, relocated back to Ireland earlier this year to spend time with his parents after his tragic cancer diagnosis.

Sam Smith Relives The Awkward Moment When He First Met The Royal Family On The Tonight Show!

He sure does interview well!

Sam Smith may be going on a brief hiatus now that his theme song for Spectre has hit theaters, but he's still got a few more interviews to give before he can take his well-deserved break.

The 23-year-old crooner stopped by The Tonight Show on Wednesday night to promote the release of his saddest song ever, Drowning Shadows, but it was his very British story that was our favorite part of the episode.

As it turns out, Sam is a huge Downton Abbey fan. So huge, in fact, that when he met the royal family, he didn't just shake their hands and nod his head… he did a full-on formal bow!

But the best part has to be Jimmy Fallon's photographic evidence of the encounter depicting Prince William's rather confused facial expressions. LOLz!

Never change, Sam.

Ch-ch-check out Sam's adorable late night interview (above)!!!
