United Airlines vs. Dr. David Dao is STILL sparking controversy!

This time, a Hawaiian mother put up with an awful — and unsafe — seating arrangement because she didn't want to end up like the famously beaten passenger.

Shirley Yamauchi says she was forced to hold her son on her lap for a three-hour flight last week after United sold his seat to a standby passenger.

The 42-year-old purchased two tickets for almost $1,000 each so she and her 27-month-old son Taizo could fly together from Hawaii to Boston.

But while sitting on the plane after a five-hour layover in Houston, Yamauchi said a standby passenger came into their row and showed his ticket — which had the same seat number as her son's.

When the mother, who was flying to Boston for a teacher conference, told the flight attended about the issue, the United employee was no help at all. Yamauchi told HuffPost:

There can only be one Dr. David Dao.

Yet one passenger wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat (pictured above) tried to become United Airlines' next victim by causing a disruption on an international flight!

On Sunday, the unidentified passenger boarded flight 87 at Shanghai Pudong International Airport when he refused to comply with the crew's instructions.

He then "became increasingly disruptive" when asked to exit the Newark, New Jersey-bound flight.

According to a United spokesperson, "local law enforcement was called to assist" the situation before the customer "eventually left the aircraft on his own accord."

Travelers had to get off the plane because of the incident, which passenger Clark Gredoña said was due to the "MAGA" supporter thinking he was "entitled to all three seats next to him" because he couldn't get an upgrade!

The fellow passenger explained a Facebook post:

United Airlines & Dr. David Dao Have Reached An 'Amicable Settlement'!

It looks like things have finally leveled off between United Airlines and Dr. David Dao.

According to the 69-year-old's lawyers, Dao and the airline have reached an "amicable settlement" weeks after video of the medical professional being brutally dragged off an overbooked flight went viral.

The incident sparked worldwide outrage — and a procession of airline PR nightmares — leading the injured Dao to file a massive lawsuit against the company with the help of Chicago's top attorneys.

But United has seemingly circumvented the stormy skies of court and landed on a settlement with the wounded traveler — which was reached the same day the airline announced "positive changes to improve the customer experience."

The amount will remain confidential, but we have a feeling Dr. Dao cashed in on quite the first-class pay day. Hopefully, it makes up for being treated like an uncooperative snack cart.

Move Over, United — American Airlines Gets Hit With A Lawsuit Over Alleged Racist Practices!

There's plenty of room in the skies for airline controversies!

American Airlines temporarily stole the spotlight from United after a pastor claimed he was blocked from a flight just because he's Korean.

TMZ reports Benny Shin filed a lawsuit against AA on Thursday, just a few hours after the injured Dr. David Dao's lawyers held a press conference announcing he would probably be filing a mega lawsuit against United.

Not the best week for airlines… or travel in general.

The 75-year-old alleges he was waiting to board a flight from Dallas to Corpus Christi in June 2016 when the gate agent refused to let him on the plane — even though he paid for his flight and had a seat assignment.

According to the documents, Shin says "5-7 white passengers behind him" were allowed on board.

While American did give him a voucher for a next day flight, Shin says the experience left him feeling humiliated, embarrassed, and scared. He plans to sue for at least $6 million.

We don't have to wonder what might have happened if the passenger refused to be re-accommodated to a later flight.
