Remember The Dentist Who Killed Cecil The Lion? Someone Just Stole & Crashed His $61,000 Boat!

no title

Hate thy neighbor.

It's with a heavy heart that we must report that the world lost yet another gorgeous creature this week… a boat belonging to Dr. Walter Palmer.

You may remember the infamous Minnesota dentist as the man who paid $55,000 to kill Cecil the Lion only to suffer zero legal consequences due to Zimbabwean hunting laws… but instant karma may have finally caught up to him.

That's because a neighbor near the good doctor's Florida vacation home just stole and crashed his $61,000 boat on Sunday!

Apparently, 26-year-old Andrew Derwin and a friend noticed that one of Walt's employees had the left the keys out in the open in his Marco Island backyard, and promptly swiped them for a breezy Summer joyride.

Unfortunately for the pair, Andrew crashed the boat later that afternoon — resulting in emergency first aid after the other passenger seriously injured himself on the boat's propeller!

The thief has a criminal history of 13 prior arrests and is currently being held on $10,000 bail, and we cannot wait to see this aquatic vessel-killer brought to justice to the fullest extent of the law!

Too bad he didn't just murder a manatee or something… probably would have gotten off with a warning. Right, Doc?

Remembering Cecil The Lion A Year After His Tragic Death — Find Out Where His Cubs AND His Killer Are Now!

no title

We can't believe it's been a year.

As you surely remember, Cecil the Lion was mercilessly killed by an American dentist at the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe on July 1, 2015.

Now, a year to the day later, we have some great news about the majestic wild animal that was taken too soon in honor of the anniversary of his death.

While Cecil's brother Jericho was initially thought to be dead, not only has he survived the entire year without the leader of the pride… but all three of his lionesses and all seven of his cubs are alive as well!

Unfortunately, not everyone is as excited about Cecil's family thriving — in fact, the lion's shooter Dr. Walter Palmer doesn't seem to care at all!

According to a Daily Mail report, the Minnesota dentist was actually spotted driving around Minneapolis in his brand new $120,000 Porsche Cayenne Turbo this week, smiling and laughing.

So sad that no one can even charge him with a crime after all this!

In just the past couple months, we've seen the slaughter of both Harambe the Gorilla and Juma the Jaguar, so there's clearly more work to do in regards to wildlife preservation.

Rest in peace, Cecil, Harambe, and Juma.

Zimbabwe Finally Charges Those Involved In Cecil The Lion's Death!

no title

Before we get your hopes up, no, it's not the dentist. But at least someone is paying for the vicious slaying!

Cecil the Lion has led to one of the most controversial stories of the year when he was shot and killed by Dr. Walter Palmer in Zimbabwe last month, but it seems like he's finally getting some justice.

That's because Zimbabwean prosecutors charged Honest Ndlovu, the man who owned the land where Cecil was killed, for allowing an illegal hunt on his land on Tuesday.

Honest's role in Cecil's death could get him either a year in jail or a $400 fine, while Theo Bronkhorst, another hunter who aided Dr. Palmer in the tracking, has also been charged for failing to stop the illegal hunt.

And while it looks like Dr. Palmer will never face any legal ramifications for his part in the murder, hopefully his reputation will negatively affect his role in his recently reopened dentistry practice.

If anything, at least Cecil's death has led to tougher hunting regulations for lions, elephants, and leopards in the area.

Rest in peace, Cecil.
