This is why we can imagine many comic book fans were put at ease when they heard that Benedict would be playing Dr. Strange in Marvel's upcoming eponymous film.
Benedict can add this role to his impressive array of SciFi and Fantasy characters: so far he's played a Dragon, a Necromancer, and a genetically engineered superhuman.
His portrayal of Doctor Stephen Strange will hopefully be the next AH-Mazing performance in a long and incredible career.
In addition, Ryan Reynolds is set to reprise his role as Deadpool in the upcoming Deadpool movie. He's reportedly close to closing a deal.
Ryan had played the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, so we're super happy that he'll playing him again.
Congrats to Ryan and Benedict!

It's about time people start talking about Disney's latest acquisition. What's the point of buying Marvel Comics if you aren't going to make any movies?!
Comic book artist Brendan McCarthy suggested in a recent interview that Disney's first Marvel flick out of the gate could be a CGI Doctor Strange movie in collaboration with Pixar. The artist explains his meeting with Disney execs to discuss the adaptation:
"I was over in Hollywood earlier this year mooching about, and I had a meeting at Disney and the conversation drifted around to Pixar animating a Doctor Strange movie… Now, wouldn't that be nice."
Sure, if the story is good. Plus, we have a hard time seeing the Pixar people getting into doing a strictly superhero movie. Ya know, they are more about the whole family-friendly angle and not everyone is going to love the tale of the unusual, super human magician. But we imagine Pixar is up to the technical challenges.
What do U think?
