Video: This Live Action Little Mermaid Movie Is Definitely NOT Disney

Model Tess Holliday first brought the awful billboard — which referred to the fairy tale spoof's full-figured heroine as "no longer beautiful" because she isn't tall and thin — to everyone's attention. And Chloë wasted no time getting to the bottom of it.

The star was "appalled" when she looked into the promo material, saying in a series of heartfelt tweets:

If you haven't heard of the upcoming animated film Red Shoes And The 7 Dwarfs, we're not surprised.

It isn't Disney or Pixar or Dreamworks but rather a small South Korean studio called Locus, which lists its release as some time in 2018.

The film is English language, featuring the voice talent of Chloë Grace Moretz, Gina Gershon, and Jim Rash, but we don't even know if there's a planned release in the U.S. at all.

No, it's been a very quiet little movie… that is, until their first promo billboard. This fucking thing speaks VOLUMES.

Model Tess Holliday spotted the ad and had to share her thoughts:

Scarlett Johannson Gets Creepy AND Creeped Out In The First Footage From Controversial Ghost In The Shell Movie! Watch!

No one knows how to unplug like Scarlett Johansson!

At least that's the case in the trippy first teasers for Ghost in the Shell, the upcoming movie based on the popular manga series about an anti-cybercrime unit.

On Thursday, Dreamworks and Paramount released five brief, visually striking clips featuring the Avengers star as cyborg special-ops agent the Major.

Video: Scarlett Urges You To Vote To Save Us From 'Orange Muppet Hitler!'

In one clip, ScarJo unplugs from her charging station to start her day; in another, she stumbles upon a ring of people hooked up to what looks like a human-computer hub (no wifi, sadly).

While the actress certainly looks the part, her casting has been a subject of much controversy — many fans feel the Major's Japanese background in the source material (her name is Motoko Kusanagi in the manga) was disregarded due to Hollywood whitewashing.

Ch-ch-check out the teasers (below) and decide if YOU think Johansson is a good choice for the lead role. Ghost in the Shell hits theaters March 31.

Paramount Reportedly Tested Visual Effects To Make Scarlett Johansson Look More Asian In Ghost In The Shell! SERIOUSLY?!

no title

Forget whitewashing, the newest Hollywood trend is apparently white-photoshopping!

Last year, Scarlett Johansson was the subject of casting controversy when it was revealed she would star in the live-action adaptation of the anime classic Ghost in the Shell.

When the first photo of the Captain America: Civil War in the role of Major Motoko Kusanagi (a Japanese woman in the manga and cartoon versions) surfaced on Thursday, critics once again blasted the studio for not choosing a racially appropriate actor for the leading role.

In response to the backlash, Paramount and DreamWorks reportedly tried to fix the ethnicity problem the only way they know how… with CGI!

ScreenCrush reports multiple independent sources close to the production told them the studio hired a visual effects team to run tests that would have changed ScarJo's appearance in post-production to "shift her ethnicity."

Meaning, they allegedly attempted to make their white lead look more Asian in the movie! WTF!?

The tests were conducted by Lola VFX, a visual effects company that aged and de-aged Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Now, the editing wizards are the industry leader in

This Early Footage Of Chris Farley Voicing Shrek From 1997 Will Make You Question Everything! Watch Here!

no title

Chris Farley's last official movie credit is 1998's Western comedy Almost Heroes with Matthew Perry. But the late comedy legend was working on another role at the time of his death, which would be one of the most recognizable animated characters of all time.

The Saturday Night Live alum was originally cast as everyone's favorite green ogre in the 2001 animated film Shrek before he died of a drug overdose in 1997.

But the funny man's version of the titular character would have been very different than the one we're familiar with! Kevin Farley, who is executive producer of the new documentary I am Chris Farley, said:

"Originally the Shrek character was a little bit more like Chris, like a humble, bumbling innocent guy."

The lead role of the DreamWorks fairytale comedy ultimately went to Farley's SNL co-star Mike Myers, who gave the ogre a Scottish accent and a bigger attitude. But the Farley family isn't bitter that the studio recast the role. Kevin explains:

"I understand why [they replaced him]. The studio needed to do what they needed to do. It was a bad time, bad timing… a tragedy. Mike did a great job with Shrek. He knocked it out of the park."

Want to listen to the late comedian's version of Shrek? Check out the early storyboard footage featuring Farley's dialogue from 1997:
