Yesterday, Aretha Franklin celebrated her 69th birthday with a big b-day bash at a luxury hotel in NYC.
Her bash included live performances, as well as several special guests. According to her publicist, she was also planning on seeing Broadway's Driving Miss Daisy to celebrate the big 6-9.
We hope you had a fantastic birthday, Aretha!
…And let us know how you enjoyed the play!

This fall, Tony Award-winners and Broadway vets James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave are heading back to the Great White Way!
The pair will co-star in the Broadway premiere of Driving Miss Daisy at the John Golden Theatre. The story of an elderly widow whose son hires her an African-American man to serve as her chauffeur is best known for it's award-winning film version, but with such massive talent in the stage production, we wager we have next year's Tony winner for best play!
Thoughts?
