Better enjoy the last season of The Office while you can, folks!

Because sadly, this will most likely be the last time you see any of the comedy's HIGHlarious characters…including Dwight Schrute!

Despite plans for a spin-off series, called The Farm, focusing on Rainn Wlson's character being well into development, the actor took to Twitter last night to confirm that NBC has ultimately passed on the project!

He writes:

Farm Update: NBC has passed on moving forward with The Farm TV show. Had a blast making the pilot - onwards & upwards!

We were really looking forward to this!

We've JUST learned that NBC is working on a potential Office spin-off, which would focus on Rainn Wilson's character Dwight Schrute!

Nothing's been confirmed yet, but we're hearing that the show MAY be set for a midseason 2013 launch.
