Sorry! If you're not an Academy Award nominated film or starring Melissa McCarthy, movie-goers just are NOT interested in watching you this year!

Well, scratch that…sort of!

Although Identity Thief has done so well that after a month of release, it's made $100 million domestically and become 2013's first blockbuster, it was bumped from the number one spot in the weekend box office by none other than Jack the Giant Slayer!

However, even though Bryan Singer's fantasy epic came in on top, it's still considered a financial flop, as it cost nearly $200 million to make and only brought in about $28 million in its premiere weekend!

OUCH!

Of course, it still fared better than The Hangover with college kids 21 and Over, which made $9 million, as well as Ed Harris and David Duchovny's Phantom, which became the 15th worst debut for a film that opened on at least 600 screens!

How bad does that make it?

The submarine thriller was released to 1,100 theaters, yet still only made $465,000!

Again with the OUCH!

In retrospect, we think the team behind Jack should be counting their blessings that they managed to make what they made! It is ROUGH out there!

The wolves need a new date for the sock-hop, because Kevin Costner is dancing with his SAG Award tonight!

Apparently his colleagues really DO like him, because they crowned him king for the night after being wowed by his performance in the Hatfields & McCoys!

Wow!! Way to go!!

I's not like Kevin went up against a bunch of stiffs, either!

He beat out Woody Harrelson, Ed Harris, Clive Owen, and Bill Paxton!!

Sadly, Kevin wasn't there to receive the award. Maybe he's filming The Bodyguard 2?

A boy can only hope!!

OMG! Ed Harris is the Best Actor In A Mini-Series or TV Movie for his face change in the HBO Original Game Change!

Ed beat out hot New Guy from New Girl Max Greenfield, Danny Houston from Magic City, Mandy Patinkin from Homeland, and Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet!

Ed Harris and Julianne Moore?! Game Change really was a… thing that means that things will be different from now on! LOLz!

Maybe the Golden Globes would have gone another way in 2008?

Nah! The real ticket wasn't nearly as believable as the movie stars that played them!

It's almost as if this HBO film ACTUALLY stars Sarah Palin! And given her recent efforts to return to TV….she very well COULD have starred in it! Ha!

We continue to be VERY impressed with Julianne Moore's portrayal of Palin, and Ed Harris' portrayal of John McCain! We will definitely be tuning in for this one!

This looks exciting!

Man on a Ledge is an action-packed suspense thriller centered around an apparent suicide attempt.

Starring Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks, the full synopsis reads:

An ex-cop framed turned con threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The nearest New York Police officer immediately responds to a screaming women and calls dispatch. More Officers arrive with swat and tactical command along with FDNY. The NYPD then dispatches a female police psychologist personally requested to talk him down from the ledge. However, unbeknownst to the NYPD on the scene, the suicide attempt is a cover up for the biggest diamond heist ever pulled. Be ready to journey on a roller coaster ride of many twists and turns and see what happens!

The film also stars Jamie Bell, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, and Kyra Sedgwick.

Scootch over, Brad Pitt! You've got company!

Things are finally coming together for the production of World War Z, the film adapted from the post-apocalyptic horror novel by Max Brooks. Paramount has just signed Matthew Fox and Ed Harris to star in the Marc Forster-directed flick that is slated to start shooting in the next few weeks.

Talk about down to the wire! Phew!
