The stand-off is over!

Well, kinda!

Only a day after the Modern Family cast refused to participate in a table read for the new season and filed a collective lawsuit against 20th Century Fox in a bid to get more money out of the studio, new reports have surfaced that suggests that castmembers Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Sofia Vergara WILL be in attendance for a re-scheduled read tomorrow!

According to show sources, the cast has decided that despite the ongoing salary dispute, they are

Craig T. Nelson Passed On Modern Family Over Money

Money talk$!

TV veteran Craig T. Nelson admits passing on the role of Jay, played by Ed O'Neill, in ABC's hit show Modern Family.

When Craig was asked if he turned down the role because he already had the part on Parenthood, he responded, "No. Money."

He adds:

"I’m old enough to say it, I guess. That was it. I really wanted to do Modern Family and I really liked the script and I liked the people. I just said, 'You know what? I’ve been doing this too long.' We’re in the middle of a cutback here, ladies and gentlemen, in Hollywood and salaries have gone way, way down. I just felt disrespected to tell you the truth."

Didn't he save his Coach money??

Ed O'Neill got the better deal….He got the bigger hit!

Honestly though, we're glad Craig passed up Modern Family because we couldn't even imagine the show without Ed!

Hope Parenthood doesn't get canceled because that would be a major boo-boo on your part, Craig!

Glee's Jane Lynch Puts An End To The Supposed Feud With Modern Family's Ed O'Neil

Finally, we can put this to rest!

Yesterday, FOX held a HIGHlarious TCA event called The Funny Men and Women of Twentieth Century Fox Television, in which a panel of the funniest ladies and gents on television got together to talk about the new season.

When it got to be time for the ladies to speak, Jane Lynch was spotted taking a seat right next to Sofia Vergara and the murmurs began. You'll recall that a few weeks ago, Sofia's Modern Family costar, Ed O'Neil was misquoted in saying that he thought Sophia should have won last year's Emmy instead of Jane. As the opportunity so boldly presented itself, one of the first questions out of the gate was to Jane, asking her if she had to say anything about comments. She responded:

"I love Ed. That was you guys, not us."

To which Sophia then added: "But he prefers me."

After a good laugh about that, the subject was dropped and hopefully, for good!

At least, until they announce next season's Emmys and their both nominated again. Then, we're sure some reporter with dredge this up again!

TV Guide Says Sowie For Misquoting Ed O'Neill

Now this is interesting.

Earlier this week, TV Guide Canada quoted Ed O'Neill saying that Jane Lynch didn't deserve her Emmy she won for Glee.

After a wildfire of fury and backlash, Ed cleared things up by claiming he was misquoted, which seemed to resolve things between everyone.

But now, TV Guide has released their own statement and apology, which includes the orignal transcript of Ed's interview. It reads:

Earlier this week, TV Guide Canada published a story misquoting Ed O’Neill’s recent comments about Jane Lynch’s Emmy win. Our writer did not mean to misrepresent Mr. O’Neill or anyone else involved in the story. He and TV Guide Canada sincerely apologize for this error.

Mr. O’Neill’s real quote is as follows:

“I’m one of Jane Lynch’s biggest fans. I love Jane Lynch. She is a genius. But at the same time I said ‘Sofia could win’ because … and I’ve only seen Glee a couple of … I’ve only seen Glee once. But I thought Jane’s role is rather one-dimensional. It’s kind of strident. It’s always kind of the same. I’ve seen her be much better. So I thought ‘Sofia’s funnier,’ and I think she is in these two comparative roles. Anyway, Jane won. But I was hoping that Sofia would.”

Ah! So the word "could" was misconstrued as "should"…but at the same time, essentially he is saying that his co-star his "funnier" than Jane, implying that Sofia "should" have won instead of Jane.

We guess it's all how you look at it. All semantics, really.

What do U think?

Al Bundy Denies Hating On Sue Sylvester

ed-oneill-denies-saying-jane-lynch-emmy-win.jpg

Turns out it was all a misunderstanding through misquoting.

Earlier in the week, a source quoted Ed O'Neill of Modern Family as saying that Glee's Jane Lynch was undeserving of her Emmy win this past awards season. Specifically, Ed was quoted as saying that she shouldn't have gotten the accolade because her role on the hit Fox show "was just a one-note character.”

Now, Ed has come forward to deny the whole thing, insisting that the source misquoted him. In a statement released to Entertainment Weekly, Ed explains:

“Last week I spoke to a group of journalists and one quoted me supposedly saying of Jane Lynch, ‘I don’t think she should have gotten the Emmy for that part.’ I never said those words and transcripts of the press conference attest to that fact. Of course I root for my dear friends Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen (and all of my colleagues on our show) at Emmy time, but I absolutely never said, nor do I believe that Jane — whom I think is an enormous talent — was undeserving of the award. I reached out to her yesterday to ensure she knew I’d been misquoted but I wanted to clear this up publicly as well.”

Thanks for the clarification. Even before this apology, Jane's reps said that she wanted to just let it go, so we're going to follow her lead.

Consider us over it!
