no title

Wow. Meanwhile we can't even get a look at Donald Trump's tax returns.

Emory University has just made public nine very personal letters written by Barack Obama to his girlfriend Alexandra McNear from 1982 to 1984.

The couple met when they were both students at Occidental College and attempted to keep their relationship going long-distance when Barack transferred across the country to Columbia University.

While the letters serve as a fascinating chronicle for historians of Obama's time as a college student and recent graduate just getting started at Business International, they're also insanely personal, revealing details of a romance long before Michelle Obama!

how i will change campaign

Men may've actually learned something from the Me Too campaign.

As you've likely seen, thousands of women (and countless men too) have shared their personal experiences with sexual harassment and assault. This Twitter movement came to fruition thanks to a conversation between Alyssa Milano and a pal about Harvey Weinstein's misconduct.

While the movement has allowed many women to speak their truth — including America Ferrera, Ilana Glazer, Evan Rachel Wood, etc. — it has also served as a "wake up call" for several men. Thankfully, rather than shame the victims coming forward, numerous men have launched their own campaign all about how they can change and do better.

The idea came about thanks to one Australian Twitter user, named Benjamin Law, who proposed online:

Melania Trump Responds To Librarian's Diss!

While Donald Trump is busy feuding with the NFL, the First Lady is cooking up some beef of her own.

In case you hadn't heard, Melania Trump and the Department of Education sent out 10 Dr. Seuss books to a few schools for National Read a Book Day.

The problem was, they sent them to schools whose libraries had already exhibited excellence and won awards — in other words, fantastic financially backed collections where they wouldn't even be noticed instead of underfunded schools which could use them.

That led Liz Phipps Soeiro, librarian at the Cambridgeport Elementary School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to write an open letter to FLOTUS slamming her gesture as empty, out-of-touch, and in lock step with Education Secretary Betsy DeVos' routine marginalization of underprivileged schools.

Well, on Friday morning FLOTUS' director of communications Stephanie Grisham responded on behalf of Melania, telling Fox News

Called out.

In honor of National Read a Book Day earlier this month, Melania Trump and the Department of Education sent 10 Dr. Seuss books to "schools with programs that have achieved high standards of excellence, recognized by State and National awards and Blue Ribbon Awards."

Not only were they sending books into some of the most privileged schools — but the librarian at Cambridgeport Elementary School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, described the first lady's choices as "a bit of a cliché, a tired and worn ambassador for children's literature."

Because of this, Liz Phipps Soeiro decided to turn down the shipment — and later penned a letter explaining why.
