No Joke — Uber Announces Plans To Launch Flying Cars By 2020!!

flying cars los angeles

Uber is ready to take to the sky!

According to Wired, the ride sharing app is eager to launch UberAIR as a way for consumers to combat exhaustive traffic. The company went public with its "flying cars" idea a little over a year ago and, since then, they've become more dedicated to the idea.

So what is UberAIR and what does it entail?? In short, customers would be picked up on the roof of a tall building and would then step into a helicopter hybrid to be whisked away over the standstill of cars. Or, at least, that's the dream.

However, this dream may come into fruition sooner than later as Uber has made deals to run some kind of "air" service in both Dallas and Dubai. Not to mention, the company also announced this week that they want to launch flying cars in Los Angeles by 2020. Oh, and they'd like a real commercial service to be up an running a handful years after the '20 launch. Whoa.

Be sure to ch-ch-check out the company's announcement video for yourself (below).

Worst College Roommate EVER Arrested After Bragging On Instagram About POISONING Girl With Bodily Fluids!

no title

Warning: This story gets REALLY vile!

A college student at the University Of Hartford was arrested this past weekend for the horrific bullying of her roommate — because she was fool enough to brag about it on social media!

Brianna Brochu (left) and Jazzy Owen (right) were freshmen housed together randomly, and for some reason Brianna took an immediate dislike to her new roomie. For some reason.

Did we mention she referred to Jazzy as "Jamaican Barbie"?

Anyway, Jazzy explained in a Facebook Live video that she had been to the clinic for awful bacterial infection in her throat, something doctors couldn't explain. She says it got so bad, she could barely speak.

But she never put that together with the fact she felt unwanted in her room — until she finally told Brianna she had decided to move out. That's when some friends pointed her to a (since deleted) Instagram post by Brianna which said:

Father Holds Female Teacher Hostage For Hours In Elementary School Classroom

UPDATE 8:18 P.M. EST: The teacher being held hostage has been identified by family as 70-year-old Linda Montgomery.

What a nightmare!

Castle View Elementary School in Riverside, California, became the site of a hostage situation Tuesday afternoon; thankfully no children are involved.

According to reports from inside the school, a father had some sort of violent altercation with a male staff member, possibly giving him a bloody nose.

The man, who according to family members has a daughter in first grade at the school, barricaded himself into a classroom with a female teacher just after 11 a.m.

It's unclear if the man is armed. A small amount of smoke was seen coming from the classroom, but it since dissipated and isn't believed to be an incendiary device.

The man's uncle told ABC7 he has "no access" to weapons and is just having "an emotional breakdown." They apparently took his car keys away, but he was able to get to the school anyway. See that interview (below):

Kevin Spacey's Online Acting Class Has Been Canceled!

no title

Kevin Spacey may not have been fired from his main gig on House Of Cards — YET — as Netflix can't seem to decide between giving the show a final season or suspending it altogether.

But it looks like at least one of the Oscar-winner's jobs is over after Anthony Rapp's allegations of making sexual advances toward him when he was just 14.

MasterClass, the company which creates online courses taught by successful celebs like Martin Scorsese, Shonda Rhimes, and Samuel L. Jackson, has announced that class is canceled, telling Variety:

"In light of recent events, MasterClass has closed enrollment in Kevin Spacey's online class."

The course description is still on the website for the moment, but users can no longer enroll. Spacey's class included about five hours of content over 28 videos, including — for select members — individual performance critiques.

Yeah, we're guessing no one would want that now anyway…

The couple met when they were both students at Occidental College and attempted to keep their relationship going long-distance when Barack transferred across the country to Columbia University.

While the letters serve as a fascinating chronicle for historians of Obama's time as a college student and recent graduate just getting started at Business International, they're also insanely personal, revealing details of a romance long before Michelle Obama!

For instance, he describes a vivid memory of a moment they spent cuddling at a friend's home:

Men On Twitter Launch The #HowIWillChange Campaign To Support Alyssa Milano's #MeToo Movement!

how i will change campaign

Men may've actually learned something from the Me Too campaign.

As you've likely seen, thousands of women (and countless men too) have shared their personal experiences with sexual harassment and assault. This Twitter movement came to fruition thanks to a conversation between Alyssa Milano and a pal about Harvey Weinstein's misconduct.

While the movement has allowed many women to speak their truth — including America Ferrera, Ilana Glazer, Evan Rachel Wood, etc. — it has also served as a "wake up call" for several men. Thankfully, rather than shame the victims coming forward, numerous men have launched their own campaign all about how they can change and do better.

The idea came about thanks to one Australian Twitter user, named Benjamin Law, who proposed online:
