Nicky Schwarz, ten, found out that his California elementary school was hosting a competition where if the students read for a combined half-million minutes, the principal would eat fried worms.

So he circulated a petition and got his friends and classmates involved in trying to find an alternative to the event.

Actor and R&B singer Tyrese Gibson is not apologizing for the controversial remarks he made during an interview at a Delaware radio station in September.

While in town to promote his latest album and speak at an elementary school on behalf of a charity, Communities In Schools, he noticed a liquor store across the street from the Delaware learning institution and was NOT happy about it!

After the charity event, he was scheduled to talk to KISS 101.7 FM about his new music, but decided the interview was the perfect platform to share his outrage over the alcohol zoning issue.

We think it's an important issue that needs to be addressed, but the radio station's programming director did not share our sentiment.

Tyrese was kicked off the air and told his songs would not get played unless he apologized.

Ugh! This is awful!

A teacher and two aides at a Texas elementary school were caught disciplining special-needs fifth-graders by shoving vinegar soaked cotton balls into their mouth!

Yuck! Forget the vinegar, teachers have NO BUSINESS shoving ANYTHING in their student's mouths!

On top of the cotton ball torture, non-verbal autistic students were placed on a classroom treadmill and "forced to go faster or longer than they wanted."

Officials at the Katy Independent School District assured parents that the disciplinary methods were NOT "approved by any authorized district staff member" and continued:

"This isolated occurrence is very unfortunate and we want parents to know that there is no evidence that such techniques have been used in other classrooms or by other personnel. It saddens and deeply concerns the district that such techniques could have occurred."

It sounds like the guilty parties involved are going to get what they deserve because the local police performed a full investigation and will be handing over evidence to the district attorney!
