This is great news!

We just wish it was happening a bit sooner!

The twin touring circus companies — Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus — have made a MAJOR announcement on Thursday about the future of their circuses and one of the main pieces of information that they let loose concerned the elephants in the show.

And apparently the company will be phasing out the magnificent creatures from BOTH shows!

Last week, she wrote a plea for help on behalf of a poor elephant named Nosey.

Nosey the circus elephant suffers from debilitating arthritis and Olivia took it upon herself to write a letter on PETA's behalf to Tom Vilsack, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. It read:

PETA Wants Disney To Change The Ending To Their Live-Action Dumbo Remake!

When it comes to animals, no matter how good things get, they're rarely good enough.

And that's why PETA has felt the need to step in and remind us of the fact that animals often get the short end of the stick, even under the best circumstances.

Just like with Disney's live-action remake of Dumbo!

Everyone can get excited over the fact that Disney isn't using real animals in the movie. That's an amazing, progressive step forward for the film industry.

But that doesn't change the fact that the Dumbo story ends with him becoming a star attraction at the circus.

While it's a happy ending, in real life, an elephant ending up at a circus is never happy.

The college sophomore named Kendall Jones got into a lot of heat recently when she posted pictures on the internet of some animals she's hunted and killed in Africa — including lions, elephants and leopards.

One person super upset was one Real Housewives of Miami star who posted about Kendall Jones on Instagram, and Jones interpreted it as a threat!

That reality star was Joanna Krupa herself!

This is a haunting story, but it is a story that needs to be told!

Most college kids spend their free time in a variety of clubs or partying away their youth, but not Kendall Jones!

When the 19-year-old isn't cheerleading at Texas Tech University, she is hunting endangered animals in Africa.


Some of her most recent kills include nearly extinct rhinos, lions, cheetahs, and elephants.

Even more disturbing, Kendall is SO proud of her helpless trophies that she smiles wide for photos and then uploads them to her Facebook page with over 21,000 "likes."
