We were purely speculating when we said that with Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and possibly even Barbara Walters leaving The View after this summer, the long-running talk show might be heading toward a reboot when their replacements are inevitably announced!

But in light of recent alleged casting news, we'd say that it definitely seems like that's the direction ABC executives will be taking!

According to network sources, Brooke Shields is in serious discussions to take a spot on the panel alongside leftover Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd after the current line-up calls it a day!

Following the news that Joy Behar - and possibly Elisabeth Hasselbeck - will be departing The View this summer (guess which one by choice?) it appears that one more lady on the ABC gab-fest may not be sticking around much longer!

And sadly, they've saved the best for last!

According to network insiders, the creator and executive producer, Barbara Walters, is seriously considering throwing in her hosting duties, and as disappointed as we are to hear it, we can't say we blame her!

She's 83, after all!

And while she's normally at the top of her game even at that age, she's been pretty sick lately, only having just re-joined the panel this week after recovering from her January fall and battling the chicken pox!

No more Joy! And now no more Sass-A-Hass!?

Just ONE DAY following the news of Joy Behar's exit from The View, reports confirm that Elisabeth Hasselbeck will not be returning next season.

Though Joy's exit seemed to be her own decision, we're hearing Elisabeth was FIRED for being too extreme in Republican politics for viewers.

Insiders say:

"The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right wing. People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed."

Chris Brown’s ears must’ve been ringing this morning!

The ladiez of The View discussed Breezy’s recent disgusting Twitter outburst during the show’s Hot Topics segment today… and they definitely didn’t hold anything back!

While it seems both Chris and comedy writer Jenny Johnson were at fault, there really is no excuse to stoop to the level that the Don’t Wake Me Up crooner did!

Mitt Romney's leaked private fundraiser footage is all over the media so, of course, the ladies on the The View had to give their two cents on the issue.

Barbara Walters tried to maintain a moderate POV in her dissection of his comments and pointed out that it is indeed true that roughly 47% of Americans don't pay federal income tax. It's not because they are "dependent upon the government" though.

According to the Tax Policy Center, half of that statistic is due to families making such a low income that they are exempt from paying the federal tax, while the other half take advantage of tax code provisions that benefit senior citizens and low-income working families with children.

With that being said, Elisabeth Hasselback shocked everyone defended Romney's remarks (above) and suggested:
