A great cause (and a good reason to get out)!

Bones, star (and sister of Zooey) Emily Deschanel is the new spokesperson for Farm Sanctuary's Walk for Farm Animals Walk for Farm Animals.

The charity walk will be held in more than 35 North American cities this Fall to raise funds to support the organization’s life-saving work AND promote kindness towards animals.

Deschanel says:

“Farm animals are just as interesting and intelligent as the dogs and cats who we know a bit better. Yet they are treated by the meat industry as though they are inanimate objects with no feelings or personalities.”

Yesterday, we were excited to announce that Bones actress Emily Deschanel and hubby David Hornsby are expecting their first child!

Now, Emily's sister Zooey Deschanel has commented on the pregnancy via Twitter, and she seems totally pumped:

My big sister, Emily (aka bones) Deschanel and her husby, David Hornsby, are going to have a baby! I am super excited to be an aunt!

We're sure you'll be a wonderful aunt, Zooey!

We wonder if they're going to write it into the plot of her show!

She needs to come back to the small screen!

Zooey Deschanel is reportedly in negotiations to star on a new Fox comedy pilot!

The show, which was originally supposed to be called Chicks and Dicks but is currently untitled, would revolve around Deschanel's Jessica, who is an elementary school teacher fed up with relationship and moves in with a trio of juvenile guys!

AMAZING! It's like Snow White and the Seven Three Bro's!

And she and her sister Emily would be the Queens of FOX!

We really like the sound of this! Here's hoping the project moves forward!

We're always skeptical about spinoffs, but maybe this one will be solid!

Looks like Fox is moving forward with plans for a Bones spinoff. They'll start casting for the series shortly!

If they find the right actor, they'll premiere the new show's lead character, Walter Sherman, on the December 6 episode of Bones.

The Bones creator/executive is basing the new show off a series of books called The Locator.

The story revolves around Walter Sherman, an "eccentric, obstreperous and amusing reclusive man in his late 20s-30s with highly sought after abilities to find anything."

Sherman is connected to the Bones characters because he served in Iraq with David Boreanaz' Agent Booth. As for Emily Deschanel's Dr. Brennan…she finds him "very intriguing."

Seems like an inneresting enough character. We'll be curious to see what actor gets cast in the role.
