Way back in March 2009, we learned that Rock of Love Charm School contestant Megan Hauserman was planning on filing a lawsuit against Sharon Osbourne for battery, negligence, and infliction of emotional distress.

Now, jury selection has begun for the trial, and Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Abraham A. Khan has tried to convince both parties to settle, but to no avail.

Hauserman's lawyer Roderick L. Lindblom says he plans to show the jury video footage from Charm School as evidence.

Here's what he had to say about it:

"You watch this tape, it's pretty horrific. I want to put on evidence and ask a jury to award money."

At this point, it looks like Team Hauserman will be dropping the infliction of emotional distress claim, but they still have every intention of pushing forward with the battery and negligence claims.

Hauserman is claiming that Sharon "hit her, pulled her hair and scratched her," following their insult fest. Osbourne is countersuing because she claims Megan "assumed the risk of injury" by taking part in the show, and that she "breached her part of the agreement by suing."

In her countersuit, Osbourne says that she believes Megan Hauserman started the incident in order to get publicity.

Looks like she's had a change of heart!

Former Desperate Housewives actress Nicollette Sheridan is dropping two of the most extreme claims from her lawsuit against her former DH employers, creator Marc Cherry, Touchstone Television, and ABC.

Back in April, Sheridan sued Cherry, Touchstone, and ABC, for $20 million, alleging assault and battery, emotional distress, gender violence, and wrongful termination. ABC responded that all of her claims were "without merit."

In regards to her physical injury and emotional distress claims, ABC required that she submit a physical and psychiatric evaluation, however, Sheridan has dropped those claims so she will no longer need to fulfill their evaluation request.

She still alleges though, that her physical injury claims are valid, but she wants to "streamline" the case.

Something seems a little fishy here.

This man just needs to stop. Right now.

Patrick Lovato, Demi Lovato's father, is still talking to the press about her daughter's recent admittance to a rehab facility, and claims now that he spoke to her on the phone, and that she confirmed to him that the current rumor that her problems stemmed from the death of her friend/possible boyfriend David Osborn put her over the edge emotionally and mentally.

He says:

“Demi’s doing great, she’s such a strong girl. She told me she’s getting better. She was really heartbroken. She was really in love with the guy. Bless her heart. She’s always been an honest person, what can I say? All I’ve got here is my dog Daytona but I’ve offered to let Demi come and stay here any time she wants to.”

We think it's pretty foul that this guy is using something as difficult and emotionally trying as his daughter's emotional breakdown and subsequent stay in rehab to get press, and a part of us tends to doubt that he's actually spoken to her!

We really hope that he'll just leave her alone and not add any more complications to her life!

Michael Jackson's dad wants an enormous amount of money as compensation in Michael's wrongful death lawsuit.

According to lawsuit documents, Joe Jackson is looking for somewhere between $10-$500 million from Dr. Conrad Murray.

Here's the breakdown of where that money will go, according to Joe:

-20% for loss of support

-40% for emotional distress

-40% for loss of comfort, aid, society, and companionship

Whether Joe's number ends up being $12 million or $496 million, Dr. Murray is going to have serious problems, because according to the doctor, he's broke and his insurance company refuses to cover ANY settlement, regardless of the $$$ amount.

Sounds like this could get messy, quickly.

An inmate at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is suing Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, claiming he experienced "extreme emotional distress due to their outrageousness of actions."

D.J. Goodson says he was forced to watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami and became permanently scarred after watching domestic abuse from a boxing match with Kim on an episode, as well as emotional abuse from Kourtney's "rantings." The lawsuit also states that he went under distress from racism after Khloe referred to a doll as "the black baby."

He is currently suing for $75,000.

Oh bb, we're actually, really rooting for you! Honest! We only wish we came up with the idea first!

She's not messing around!

Oksana Grigorieva has finally hired two new lawyers, Martin Garbus and Daniel Horowitz, and is now set to file a lawsuit against Mel Gibson for battery, emotional distress, and defamation!

They also intend to battle Gibson for the rights to release her music.

Meanwhile, the civil battery case already in the works against the scumbag actor is allegedly set to be filed before the year is up.

Everything's coming to a head! It will be VERY CURIOUS to see how this all plays out!

Ha! As if Brüno would ever hurt anyone!

A woman who attempted to sue Sacha Baron Cohen after unwittingly appearing in his HIGHlarious flick Brüno has lost her case!!

Rielle Olsen apparently appears in the infamous Bingo scene in the flick, and originally claimed that she and Cohen had gotten into a physical alteraction that left her stuck in a wheel chair and suffering from brain bleeds.

Once Cohen's lawyers proved this was bullshit by playing a tape that showed that he and Olsen had never even touched, she still attempted to sue for emotional distress!

WTF is wrong with this woman?? LOLz!

Girlfriend should have just let it go, because now the case has officially been dismissed, and she owes Cohen $17,000 in legal fees!

Ouch!

That's what you get for making up stories, lady!
