Q & A With Dr. J

Dr. J

A FitPerez reader is tired of a the daily grind and wants to start doing work they are actually passionate about! However, like many of us, this reader needs help figuring out what that actually is, so they wrote life coach Dr. J for advice, asking:

Everything I read lately says you should be passionate about your work. I'm definitely not passionate about my current job but I'm not sure what else I want to do. How do I figure out what I should be doing with my life?

According to Dr. J:

I believe that we are all designed to SHINE and each and every one of us has a unique talent. Start sincerely listening to that invisible voice within, because if you're asking me this question, that inner voice is already speaking to you.

It's time to figure out what it is you really want. What will be your Legacy? What are your Dreams? You can discern your direction once you amp up awareness in your life. I suggest you get Ready to Rewire and create a new Reality for yourself. It will take some Readjusting, Rebuilding, Reexamining, and Resolve, but if you start being forensic with your feelings, your passion will point YOU in the direction of your deepest desires.

Let's get back to basics to get you back on track. First, think about what is it that YOU truly LOVE? Still not sure? Then begin to build a better blueprint for your life by creating your own bucket list…or what I like to call your LIFE list. Only things that excite, fascinate, and exhilarate you belong on your list. Look for patterns in your list that will point you in the direction of your passion. Make sure you actually check off everything on your LIFE-list so that you can make sure reality and your dreams are a match. When you adopt activities that appeal to you, you are putting yourself in a position to prevail. And don't worry if you suddenly figure out that your current pursuits have put you on the wrong passion path.

There is nothing wrong with U-turns to get you to where you want to be. We all change lanes in life! But, going around in circles will get you nowhere. So, buckle up for the ride of your LIFE!

If you've got a question about how to handle something bothering you in life, shoot us an email or ask the doctor himself @AskDocJ on Twitter!

KFC Offers Dwyane Wade A Job

KFC Wade

Sure, it's nothing great, but who can afford to be picky in this economy?

Well, we guess Dwyane Wade can. LOLz!

In response to a tweet from the Miami Heat player announcing he is looking for a new job due to the NBC lockout, KFC has offered him his old job taking orders at the fast food chicken joint's drive-thru window!

The chicken company's U.S. General Manager personally wrote the basketball star a letter — loaded with a bucketful of puns — to cordially offer him a spot on the KFC team in exchange for a donation in his name to the Colonel's Scholars charity.

Think Dwyane will accept? If he does, we think KFC's drive-thru will experience a small carmageddon of their own the days Wade is scheduled to work!

We say do it for the kids, Dwyane!

Check out the entire letter sent to the NBA player after the jump!

Real Housewives Of Orange County's Slade Owes Lots Of Backed Child Support!

slade-smiley-owes-lots-of-money-in-backed-child-support

Although one may think that Slade Smiley is a professional dater of The Real Housewives of Orange County, he still doesn't have a legitimate job, and according to court documents, owes $138,857.64 in unpaid child support to his son, Grayson, who is suffering from brain cancer and has serious medical bills piling up!

He's currently attempting to have his monthly child support payments reduced from $3500 a month, and even though he told his mother on Sunday night's show that he found work, the legal documents assert:

"It appears he is currently living with his girlfriend. The evidence shows that…in 2010 he earned $5,000 for participation in another television program. (Smiley) testified regarding his various unsuccessful efforts to find work in the title insurance/real estate industry. He also testified regarding his various Facebook and Twitter entries showing his attendance at various public and social events. He essentially describes these activities as networking with the purpose of securing employment in the entertainment field."

In response, a judge has ruled that Smiley try "to expand his efforts beyond entertainment and title insurance/real estate, and to document his efforts by keeping a detailed log." He also must contact at least five potential employers every two weeks.

Sounds fair to us!

Time's have certainly been tough, so we sympathize, but we'd say it's time to start pounding the pavement for work, just like everyone else!

Especially when your son needs you more than ever!

He's in our thoughts, guys! Stay strong and best of luck!
