Starships In The Sky! Endeavor Space Shuttle Stops Productivity In Los Angeles

Everyone in El Lay was freaking the eff out!!

People went to their rooftops this afternoon to get the best sighting of the Endeavor space shuttle as it made its zany loop de loop on top of a 747 around Tinsel Town.

The shuttle spent crazy time in space before making its final landing at LAX on Friday — marking the end of NASA's space shuttle program. Sadface!

But what a great finale!!

As Endeavor taxied on in at the United Airlines hangar, one man popped out of the cockpit's roof to wave an American flag while bystanders' emotions began to pour out.

NASA's Final Space Shuttle Launch Delayed AGAIN

Uh-oh!

NASA's final space shuttle launch has been delayed for a second time.

The shuttle Endeavor was originally scheduled for liftoff on Friday and then was delayed until Monday due to a power unit failure.

An official date has not been set, as mission managers determine how long it will take to make the repairs, but NASA spokesman says:

"We're looking more toward the end of the week, maybe next weekend. We won't know until tomorrow when our next launch opportunity is."

So unfortunate that such a momentous occasion continues to be delayed. We're keeping our fingers crossed that NASA can pinpoint the problem and get the shuttle ready for liftoff for its final voyage.

NASA's Final Space Shuttle Launch Delayed

Yikes!

This isn't a good way to start things.

NASA has delayed the launch of its final space shuttle voyage. It was scheduled for liftoff at 3:47 p.m. on Friday. However, due to a malfunction connected to the spacecraft's critical power units, Endeavor will not be lifting off until further notice.

Two of its three heater units failed Friday morning during testing, which rendered the spacecraft useless.

NASA's spokesman says it will be a couple days before NASA plans to reschedule the launch.

He explains;

"There's not a way to do the troubleshooting we need to do and stay in a countdown configuration. It will be at least a 48-hour scrub turnaround."

The next chance for liftoff will be this Sunday May 1 at 2:59 p.m.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords made the trip to Kennedy Space Center to see her husband Mark Kelly lead the Endeavor crew. Hopefully her doctors will let her stay for the additional days while they prepare for the launch.

It's a shame that the shuttle's final voyage had to begin with a bump in the road, but thankfully the malfunction was caught before liftoff.

Such an unbelievable inspiration!

After making a miraculous recovery following a near-fatal gunshot wound to the head more than three months ago, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords has been officially cleared by her doctors to travel to Cape Canaveral, FL to attend her husband Mark Kelly's space shuttle launch this Friday!

According to Kelly, who is serving as the commander of the shuttle, The Endeavor:

"I've met with her doctors, her neurosurgeon and her doctors, and…they've given us permission to take her down to the launch."

Wonderful! This must be such a huge step forward for her!

We couldn't be more thrilled!

Good vibes, gurl! And have a wonderful and SAFE trip!

We're rooting for you!
