Madonna BOOED For Endorsing Barack Obama At New Orleans Concert

At least she didn't take another tumble. Ha!

Madonna, the queen of our heart, upset some fans at a New Orleans concert on Saturday night when she endorsed Barack Obama for re-election.

In between songs, Madge asked the audience, "Who's registered to vote?" She then used her platform to declare:

"I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama."

The southern crowd didn't take too kindly to her advice and actually started BOOING her!

After realizing the crowd was not as liberal as she thought, she quickly added:

Jay-Z Trust Duracell

Jay-Z is prepping his daughter's college fund and has signed a deal to be the face and voice of the Duracell Powermat JV, while acting as an investment partner as well.

The company behind the powermat technology says they picked him because "Jay-Z is power personified."

The rapper, on the other hand, says he is endorsing the product because he believes it is the technology of the future, explaining:

Jean-Claude Van Damme SUED For Bashing Fitness Product

Jean Claude Van Damme

And he was supposed to be promoting it! Yikes!

Jean-Claude Van Damme is being sued by the makers of the "Total Flex", a piece of home gym equipment which the actor was paid to endorse, after bashing it on his reality show, Behind Closed Doors.

Apparently, Van Damme showed up to film an infomercial with the company, but had no idea how to use the fitness machine.

Producers of the infomercial claim he grew frustrated that he couldn't figure out how to use it (although his wife figured it out right away…LOLz!) and REFUSED to continue filming the commercial!

His potentially costly mistake was then turning to his own reality television show's cameras and insisting he would never endorse a product he thinks is no good.

The action icon disappeared from the set, then called the producers after to officially resign from the project.

According to court documents filed on Monday in El Lay, the makers of the Total Flex are suing Van Damme for at least $25,000 for their financial losses during the fiasco!

Sounds like Jean-Claude wasn't very professional and may be gearing up to fork over some cash! If he didn't like the product, he shouldn't have agreed to endorse it!

President Obama's 1996 Stance On Gay Rights

Filed under: Gay Gay GayPolitikBarack ObamaSad Sad

barack-obamas-1996-stance-on-gay-rights

Now that his previously-stated stances are out in the open, we think that he's definitely going to have some serious explaining to do!

Check out above a signed statement from President Barack Obama, from 1996 (above) in which he adamantly shows his support of not only gay marriage, but also funding for the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS, as well as the right for same-sex couples to adopt!

Those points include:

I would support and co-sponsor a state civil rights bill for gays and lesbians.

I do not favor a statewide registry of names of people who test positive for HIV.

I favor an increase in funding for state AIDS services.

I favor more aggressive (and better funded) prevention programs, particularly targeted at young people and minority communities where infection rates continue to increase.

I favor mandatory Medicaid coverage for persons with HIV/AIDS.

I favor legalizing same-sex marriage, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriage.

I believe in the rights of gays and lesbians to become foster parents, adopt children and have the right to custody of their own children on the same basis of heterosexuals.

I support a woman's right to choose an abortion, favor Medicaid funding of abortions for poor women, and opppose parental notification laws.

I vigorously support existing affirmative action programs.

Wow.

It's just so disappointing to us that politics could get in the way of what someone believes, especially when that someone could really help progress this country toward the equal rights that everyone deserves.

Sad.

LifeStyle Condoms Wants To Put Ads During Skins!

lifestyle-condoms-want-to-put-ads-during-skins

Wow! We're surprised they didn't think to do this earlier!

Although pretty much every advertiser has abandoned MTV's Skins due to its controversial and mediocre first two episodes, there does seem to be ONE potential company interested in helping MTV fill the commercial breaks with ads that aren't promos for Teen Mom or I Used To Be Fat - LifeStyle Condoms!

A representative explains:

“We are considering advertising during 'Skins', as it provides the opportunity to impart a responsible message about safe sex to an audience who clearly needs to understand the implications of their actions. [Teens] can and should be protecting themselves and their partners.”

Although we doubt that MTV is going to pass up this opportunity, we are a bit pleased to hear that LifeStyle's intentions are purely based out of the need to promote safe sex with teens!

Maybe there will be hope for this show yet!

Thoughts??

Is Kim Kardashian Cheating On Reebok???

kim-kardashian-facing-legal-troubles-for-promoting-reebok-easy-tones.jpg

Bring on the dramz!

On Monday, Kim Kardashian and momager Kris Jenner announced they're partnering with Skechers Shape Ups for a new campaign.

But, and that's a big but (ha!), Kim may find herself in legal trouble with Reebok since she once promoted their version their athletic shoe, the Easy Tone, on her website last year.

Kim wrote on her blog back in June of 2009:

"Kourtney, Khloe, my mom and I went to a very cool Reebok party the other day. It was the launch party for Reebok's Easy Tone shoe's… [B]asically it works your leg and butt muscles as you simply walk…We wore them all night!"

It's also believed she was paid $10,000 to tweet about them in December:

Heading 2 the gym! Got my @Reebok EasyTones on! LOVE THESE! Go get 'em at @Dickssportcmo

So does that mean Kim should lawyer up?

Not quite.

A Los Angeles based business lawyer says:

"From a legal standpoint, if there's nothing in her contract with Reebok keeping her from endorsing other products, even those that directly compete with ones she's previously endorsed, she's free to lend her name to the Skechers campaign."

And there you have it.

However, it does prove the Kardashians will promote anything thrown at them.
