It appears that Mary J. Blige's announcement that she will be attending Howard University may have been a bit presumptuous!
Apparently Howard University hasn't heard anything about the R&B singer enrolling in this historically black university. A rep for the school says:
"We encourage Ms. Blige to continue her studies and welcome her consideration of Howard University in the future. We are happy to work with Ms. Blige on completing the formal process for admission."
Still sounds promising to us! You get that higher education, Mary J.!
