Its been a long and harrowing seven years for Erin Andrews.
On Monday, Erin took the stand against a Marriott hotel in Nashville for alleged negligence. The sportscaster is currently suing the hotel, among with other entities, for $75 million dollars over a high-profile stalking case in 2008.
For those who don't know, Andrews was horrifically violated when a man named Michael David Barrett secretly videotaped her naked through a peeping tom hole. The incident took place the Nashville Marriott and Erin wants to hold the popular hotel chain accountable.

While Barrett already served a 30 month prison sentence along with other fines, the blonde is adamant that hotel employees allowed this transgression to happen and they too should pay a price. Essentially, Michael had requested to stay in the room adjacent to E.A. and even went as far to inquire the dates she'd be staying at the location.
Speaking on the irresponsible decisions of the chain (the same incident occurred at a Radisson in Wisconsin), the reporter revealed:
"I'm so angry. This could have been stopped. No one ever called me or told me when I checked in that he asked to be put next to me. All I wanted to do is be respected, be the girl who loves sports, and now I'm the girl with the scandal. It's embarrassing. It was everywhere…My naked body was on the front page of the New York Post."
Wow. How heartbreaking.
To make matters worse, authorities told Erin the images of her nude will be on the internet until she dies. Once an image hits the web, it's extremely difficult for it to ever be removed… it's also a common problem found in child pornography cases.
Adding insult to injury, for a long time the public assumed this leak was just another publicity stunt a la Farrah Abraham or Kim Kardashian West.
The Dancing With The Stars Host admitted not being believed was one of the worst parts of the situation:
"Probably for like three months, everybody thought it was a publicity stunt. The front page of the New York Post said ‘ESPN Scandal.' To Fox News and CBS, everybody put up that I was doing it for publicity and attention, and that ripped me apart."
As for how the case has left her, the former Florida resident admitted:
"I was living like a hermit. It was nothing like who I am. It was nothing like who I tried to be."
Considering Monday's testimony was so emotional (the session also included a painful anecdote from Andrews' poppa Steven Andrews), we have no doubt the days to follow will be just as tough.
Stay strong, Erin!
