And this just goes to prove Erin Andrews' point.
The sportscaster's peephole video was played at a Marriott representative's dinner table in Nashville on Tuesday night, and was reportedly openly joked about.
As a recap, Andrews is suing the hotel, along with other entities, for $75 million for the alleged negligence of allowing someone to film her naked through a peeping tom hole.
So you can imagine just how distasteful it was when that the video was playing at Neal Peskind's dinner. While he admits the clip was played, it wasn't him that showed it to his companions. He says he quickly objected and asked them to stop, "and while they did so, it was not as quickly as I had hoped."
Although an eyewitness at the restaurant says that Peskind was actually the one to pull up the clip, and he and his friends even joked about Erin's body, saying she doesn't deserve the money.
On Wednesday, the rep responded to the claim and released a statement in regards to the recent event, sharing:
"This incident has been blown into something it was not. I would never disrespect Ms. Andrews and what she has been through. This is a very unfortunate situation that should not be a reflection on West End Hotel Partners or to our commitment to the issues in this case surrounding what happened to her. I sincerely apologize for my participation in what happened."
Regardless, it's a horrible situation and never should have happened in the first place.
