Bob Costas DOES NOT Think Caitlyn Jenner Should Receive This Year's Arthur Ashe Courage Award At The ESPYS!

Bob Costas thinks Caitlyn Jenner should not be receiving the prestigious courage award.

It's not that Bob Costas doesn't support Caitlyn Jenner — he does — he just doesn't support ESPN's decision to award her the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at this year's ESPYS.

[ Video: Watch Michael Sam Accept The Arthur Ashe Award! ]

He called in to The Dan Patrick Show to explain why he's criticizing the sports network's choice, saying:

"It's a tabloid play. In the broad world of sports, I'm pretty sure they could've found — and this is not anything against Caitlyn Jenner — I'm pretty sure they could've found someone who is much closer to [being] actively involved in sports who would've been deserving of what that award represents."

The broadcaster accused ESPN of making a "crass exploitation play," but didn't intend any disrespect to Caitlyn.

In fact, he commended her bravery. He just feels the award should go to someone who's more recently active in the sports world, explaining:

"That's not to say that it doesn't take some measure of personal courage to do what Caitlyn Jenner has done, but I think every year we look across the landscape of sports and we find prominent people and kids in high school and amateur athletes who I think more closely fit the description of what they're looking for — or should be looking for there."

Bob may not think Caitlyn was the right pick for the trophy, but he's still very happy for her, that she's finally able to live her life the way she wants:

"Bruce Jenner, who I did not know well, I always had a cordial and pleasant relationship with. I wish Caitlyn Jenner well, and anyone — even if most of us do not fully understand it — anyone seeking to find the identity they're comfortable with and to live the happiest possible life without intentionally hurting anyone else…I think we're moving toward a more tolerant society, and that's all for the good, and I wish Caitlyn all the happiness in the world and all the peace of mind in the world."

What do U think? Was Caitlyn the best choice for the award?

Or is ESPN just pandering for ratings?

ESPN Reporter Britt McHenry Suspended After Footage Of Her Tirade Against A Towing Company Worker Leaks Online!

Little harsh, Gretch.

Prior to Thursday, Britt McHenry was just a moderately famous ESPN reporter.

However, that all changed when a rather ruthless video of the 28-year-old berating a towing company worker surfaced online and gained national attention.

Apparently, Britt had to slum it into a garage to retrieve her car last week and simply was not having it.

While it's clear that Britt was upset about the situation and not necessarily at the woman trying to provide assistance, she took it way too far when she started to insult the woman's intelligence, weight, and even her teeth.

Girl, not everyone can get by on their looks!

Following the outburst, Britt apologized via Twitter, saying:

This is heartbreaking.

ESPN anchor Stuart Scott inspired millions of people over his two-decade long battle with cancer. Sadly, he died on Sunday morning at the age of 49.

Scott, who was one of the network's most loved anchors, received the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance in July at the 2014 ESPY Awards, and he made it clear that he will not lose to cancer. He explained:

"When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live."

With those words in mind, Scott absolutely beat cancer by living a very full life!
