Ethan Zohn and Jenna getting married

Cancer schmancer!

Survivor winners Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca, who have been a couple for nearly ten years, aren't going to let a terminal illness get in the way of their happiness.

Ethan was diagnosed with cancer just 20 months after it had gone into remission, but remains inspirationally optimistic and even ran the New York City Marathon in between chemo therapy treatments!

Now it seems that wedding bells may be in the air for the pair, as Jenna told sources:

“We’re looking forward to bigger goals that don’t involve cancer, like marriage.”

Yay! So happy for you guys!

Although initially devastated by the bad news, they both decided to bravely move on with their lives and are dedicated to beating the disease, as Ethan explained:

“We’re the type of people who dwell on the negative for just a short time, then flip it around. I’m going to have to be a warrior! I’m focused on staying alive. I want to take advantage of every moment I have.”

And it looks like he's ready spend every moment he has left with his model girlfriend. As far as kids, Jenna adds, “I would like to start with a dog!”

Survivor Alum Ethan Zohn Is Training For The NYC Marathon Despite Cancer

Ethan Zohn cancer NYC marathon

This guy really is a Survivor!

We were so sad to hear that reality star Ethan Zohn's Hodgkin's Lymphoma is back after just 20 months, but are happy to hear his re-diagnosis doesn't have him down in the dumps.

Although Ethan admitted feeling angry, scared and even defeated upon learning the disease had crept back into his lungs, he is bravely moving forward with his life.

He already had his first chemo treatment and, fortunately, the side effects have been more mild this time around thanks to a new drug, as he explains:

"With this new drug SGN-35, they aren't nearly as bad as they were just lethargy, nausea, headaches for a little while."

Amazingly, the Survivor alum is STILL training for the New York City Marathon this weekend despite his cancer, continuing:

"Now I'm feeling good and I'm continuing to train for the New York City Marathon."

His goal is to remain positive and stay active, despite his illness. He wants the world to know that cancer does not mean you have to stop living your life, saying:

"I think in the cancer world, the general perception is that there are winners and losers. You either beat cancer and you win – or you don't and you die. But the reality of it is, I did everything in my power to beat cancer, and I did. But it came back. And that's okay, too. I'm not a failure. There are millions of people out there living with cancer and you can still have a fulfilled life. You can go to work, raise a family, charge forward. That's what I'm doing here."

Ethan is thankful for not only his friends and family sticking by his side during this difficult time, but his fans too, adding:

"It's good to know I have them by my side. The best part about going public with this is that I get the support of fans and people out there, too. And I think that really helped last time."

While he doesn't want cancer to define his legacy, it is a part of his life and he hopes to raise more awareness on behalf of others suffering as well, saying:

"I just want to let others who are living with cancer know that I'm right there with them, living each day of my life, hopefully bringing more awareness. It's who I am, and I wanted to stand up for what I believe in."

We believe you can beat this AGAIN too! Good luck throughout the rest of your treatment, Ethan!
