During the hours of Tuesday morning, several suspicious packages described as having "wires coming out" forced an evacuation for Florida's Waterford Lakes Town Center.

Alert after the Boston bombing, nearby businesses took cover as well, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Fortunately, each of the four packages were deemed safe by a bomb squad investigation. Reportedly, two of them even turned out to be nothing but bags of tools!

The official Twitter account for the sheriff's department kept everyone in the loop, saying:

#breaking #OCSO #media #suspicious. Per Bomb Squad: ALL 4 devices rendered safe. #waterford lakes will reopen shortly.

Among the businesses evacuated, officials report that a children's day care led their little ones to local movie theater, where parents were urged to pick them up.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings held a briefing shortly after where he reassured citizens that none of the suspicious packages were threatening to the community.

All of the evacuations have been lifted and the roads have been re-opened.

Thankfully NOTHING horrendous came from this ordeal, but the growing cloud of fear is unsettling. We wish peace could re-occupy the hearts and minds of the world, but we admit it's easier said than done in these times.

Better safe than sorry… right??

More potentially frightening news out of Boston!

Moakley Federal Courthouse was just evacuated — no one is 100% sure why, but some sources say there was a bomb threat!!!

CBS Boston reports guards inside shouted "code red" while evacuating all media and nearby civilians!

We don't know what code red means, but it sounds terrifying!!

Obviously, after all of today's misinformation out of CNN, we're apprehensive with any news coming out of Boston that hasn't been verified by the local police or Feds.

Either way, it's clear the courthouse in Boston was evacuated for one reason or another!

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate, but, at the moment, it doesn't look like the public is returning to the courthouse.

Poor Ashley Greene!

The New York Aquarium is Coney Island is without full power like much of the city and they are in dire straits.

The aquarium is flooded and the animals may need to be evacuated while workers work on restoring filtration and life support systems.

Looks like Broadway's going to be putting up one hell of a fight against Hurricane Irene!

As the storm works its way up the eastern seaboard, many events, like the New York International Fringe Festival, have canceled their Saturday and Sunday dates, but according to The Broadway League, all shows scheduled to play this weekend will go on, as well as the Off-Broadway productions!

Geesh!

You'd think if they're shutting the subway down, and telling people to be ready to evacuate, Broadway would have some sense and give their actors the weekend off! We can't imagine anyone trying to go outside in this weather, let alone hit up the theater for a matinee!

See, guys?! This is what happens when you laugh at a Hurricane's name - it shows up bigger and badder than ever, and with one big, 125mph bug up its ass!
