Lindsay Lohan's FATHER Is An ALUM Of Her Court-Ordered Rehab Program!

michael rehab alum

Well, isn't this a charming little coincidence?

Turns out, Lindsay Lohan will NOT be the first person in her family to spend time attempting to kick bad habits in the Seafield Center rehab facility in Westhampton Beach, where she'll be serving a specialized, 90-day sentence for her latest probation violation!

In fact, it appears her very own Daddy Dearest, Michael Lohan, spent some time there himself back in 1989 when he had his own issues with cocaine and alcohol…and in the process, became VERY friendly with the program's Executive Director, Mark Epley!

However, don't assume the familial connection is going to get our hard-pAArtying starlet any preferential treatment during her stay!

According to Michael, because Mark knows the Lohan "family dynamic," he's hoping to get Dina into family therapy to sit down with her ex-husband and her daughter, in order for them to address what they believe to be the roots of

Disgusting! Tennessee Principal Assaults Student For Wearing Pro-GSA T-Shirt!

This is absolutely horrific. And DISGUSTING.

How on Earth are we supposed to teach our youth to stop bullying if our school ADMINISTRATORS can't even do the same?!

Chris Sigler, a 17-year-old senior at Sequoyah High School in Tennessee, was apparently shoved and verbally harrassed by his own PRINCIPAL last week after he refused to take off a shirt that he had made promoting the establishment of a gay-straight alliance club on campus!

Principal Maurice Moser has apparently threatened to punish students attempting to circulating petitions about the club, and when Sigler wore a homemade T-shirt to school that read: GSA: We've Got Your Back, he was asked to take it off. The young man knew that he had a right to wear it, so he did on the following Friday, and this time refused to take it off.

Moser reportedly then

Dear Iowa…THIS Sucks!

So disappointing!

Following a three hour debate, the Iowa house has voted today to approve a resolution that proposes a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage!

House Joint Resolution 6 was approved by a very disheartening vote of 62-37, however, it was expected following last week's house judiciary committee, which passed the resolution with an 13-8 vote.

One Iowa Executive Director Carolyn Jenison says:

“The proposed amendment devalues families and divides Iowans. The Constitution is meant to protect the freedoms and liberties of all Iowans. It is inappropriate to use the political process to single out and deny a group of Iowans of their constitutional protections.”

And senate majority leader Michael Gronstal maintains:

“The vote today by House Republicans was a big step backwards for the constitutional rights of all Iowans. I remain committed to protecting the rights of all Iowans and focusing our energy on helping Iowans recover from the national recession.”

Well said!

They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for such a blatant infringement on people's rights!

This may have been a step back, but that doesn't mean that we still can't LEAP forward again if we need to!

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL.

Time For A Christmas Miracle! The Jimmy Stewart Museum Facing Rough Financial Times!

It would be such a shame to see this place close down!

He truly was such a wonderful man, and an icon who should not be forgotten!

The Jimmy Stuart Museum, which is located in the actor's hometown of Indiana, PA, is facing serious financial hardship, and could close down if the cash flow doesn't increase!

Executive director Timothy Harley, who is the museum's only full-time employee, says:

“It’s touch and go right now. We need a cash influx to help us get through this challenging time. We used to see 10 to 15 charter bookings per month in September and October. This year, we did not have five between both months combined. Attendance in 2009 was 6,500 and this year it's down to about 5,000. Plus, our state funding has dropped from $5,500 per year to $1,400.”

Museum host Pat Ward continues:

“This museum’s not just about Jimmy Stewart — it’s about America. His life takes us through the life of The Greatest Generation.”

Very true! The man gave up his career to go and serve his country!

We wonder how many actors would do the same in today's time!

North Carolina Republican Refers To Gay People As "Fruit Loops" On E-Mail Chain!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooGay Gay GayPolitik

This is truly just awful.

North Carolina's Republican State Representative Larry Brown has come under fire for using derogatory terms referring to homosexuals in an e-mail to at least 60 other state politicians!

Brown allegedly responded to an original e-mail sent out by House Minority Leader Paul Stam - which discussed Democratic House Speaker Joe Hackney's recent award from gay rights group Equality NC - with the message:

"I hope all the queers are thrilled to see him [Hackney]. I'm sure there will be a couple of legislative fruitloops there in the audience."

Wow. Just unbelievable.

Equality NC Executive Director Ian Palmquist is now demanding an apology.

He explains:

"I was pretty shocked to see a legislator using that language. Rep. Brown needs to apologize, but we haven't received any contact from him, not a word. It's offensive, but I really don't think he reflects what most North Carolinians think about gay people."

We certainly hope not!

We can't imagine why anyone would think that's an appropriate or acceptable way to behave, let alone on a mass e-mail chain!

So disappointing and wrong - especially because once again, it just proves how so many people in positions of power live with that kind of bigotry and hate inside of them - which gets passed on to our nation's young people.

And they are the people WE ELECT to fight for our rights.

An apology is DEFINITELY in order!

Enough is enough!
