Kate Winslet kept it simple and elegant at the opening night of Impact: 50 Years of the CFDA at the Fashion Institute of Technology Thursday night.

The British lovely looked sleek in her long sleeved St. John LBD, coupled together with black Roger Vivier peep toe heels and silver earrings and cuff.

Princess Diana's Wedding Dress Still Attracts Attention

While Kate Middleton’s wedding gown has received a lot of attention lately, Princess Diana’s dress still manages to draw in viewers worldwide.

Princess Diana’s bridal gown, with its 25 foot train, is part of the Diana: A Celebration exhibit traveling the world and has been viewed by over 1 million people!

The exhibit, which is currently in Toronto, also helped raise approximately over $1 million for charity.

Security around the dress is tight. Nick Grossmark and Graeme Murton are the only two individuals allowed to handle the dress, wearing white gloves of course.

Grossmark reveals:

“It is simply magnificent, and the most famous dress ever. At the wedding it was seen by almost a million people. It is a fairytale fantasy, a typical princess's wedding gown. It's like something out of Walt Disney."

When not on exhibit, the dress is kept at the Althorp Estate and is looked after by Di's brother Earl Spencer. However, it’s owned by both Prince William and Harry.
