Well, it's about time! No one can blow our minds the way she does, and this sounds like no exception!
Björk has kept a pretty low profile since her 2007 album, Volta, but gurlfriend has just announced that there's a whole lot more of her coming our way!
The Icelandic singer not only has revealed that she'll be performing a series of show's as a part of this year's Manchester International Festival, but also that she has a new album in the works called, Biophilia, set to be released sometime in 2011!
According a press release, Biophilia is being described as "a multi-media project encompassing music, apps, internet, installations and live shows" with instruments like "a bespoke digitally-controlled pipe organ; a 30 foot pendulum that harnesses the earth's gravitational pull to create musical patterns– creating a unique bridge between the ancient and the modern; a bespoke gamelan-celeste hybrid; and a one-off extraordinary pin barrel harp."
Holy shiz. This sounds pretty ambitious - just how we like her!
Can't wait to be entranced all over again, gurl!
And check out her new tour dates…AFTER THE JUMP!
