Rhinoceros Are Going To Be Extinct By 2020! What Are We Gonna Do??

If things keep going the way they're going, rhinos will be extinct by 2020 and that sucks.

Everyone knows rhinoceros, or "nature's unicorns," are beautiful, majestic creatures worthy of life on this planet.

Everyone except poachers, at least.

Because of poaching, it's predicted that rhinos will be extinct by 2020. That's only 6 years away.

White and black rhinos are being slaughtered at an alarming rate, with only

Congratulations, Humanity, You've Let The Western Black Rhino Go Extinct

The western black rhino is officially extinct now. Well, that sucks!

We previously mentioned one wildlife group already declared the Western Black Rhino extinct.

Originally, we thought they might have jumped the gun a little, seeing as how the World Wildlife Fund had estimated there were still about 4,000 of the rhinos left.

Well now, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the largest conservation network, has declared the subspecies totally extinct.

Dead. Gone. Donezo.

Poached into extinction by heartless poachers. Thanks for that.

Short-Haired Bumblebees Reintroduced Into The UK After 25 Years

This is so ahmayzing!! Go science!!

Conservationists in the UK are trying to bring back an extinct species of bumblebee!!

The short-haired bumblebee is being reintroduced into the Kent area.

Several queens have been raised and released into the area in an attempt to start a breeding population.

Since the project started, they've recorded young worker bees in a 2.5 mile area… the first to be seen in 25 years!!

Clearly, the program is working! That's so great!

The whole point of bringing these bees back is to help bring flowering meadows back to the British countryside.

Sounds like a beautiful idea!

Check out the video (above) to see how they're raising and releasing these queens!

Prince William Tears Up Looking At A Picture Of Rhino Poaching!

Prince William tears up at pictures of poached rhinos!

We previously mentioned Prince William listens to animal noises and African soundscapes to calm himself when he's feeling stressed — so of course he'd be upset when looking at photos of rhino poaching.

He was shown photos of rhinos who had been left for dead by poachers and said:

Johnny Depp's Acting Skills Inspire Name For Extinct Creature!!!

johnnydeppppp(1)Johnny Depp has had many memorable roles.

But his most famous role may be his turn in Edward Scissorhands where he plays the title role of an artificial man who has scissors for hands.

In fact, it is SO famous that a 505-million-year-old fossil of an extinct creature has been named after Depp because of this character.

The extinct great ancestor of lobsters has been deemed Kooteninchela deppi .

Here's what a scientist said:

"When I first saw the pair of isolated claws in the fossil records of this species, I could not help but think of Edward Scissorhands. Even the genus name, Kootenichela, includes the reference to this film, as 'chela' is Latin for claws or scissors. In truth, I am also a bit of a Depp fan and so what better way to honor the man than to immortalize him as an ancient creature that once roamed the sea?"

Wow!!!

We wonder if Depp will call the scientist up to thank him!

It isn't everyday that one gets an honor such as this!!!

Check out a picture of the extinct creature… AFTER THE JUMP!!!
