F. Scott Fitzgerald is so hot right now.
Miranda Kerr let her inner bookworm shine through Saturday night at hairstylist Harry Josh's party in New York City.
Wearing a sheer polka dot Saint Laurent blouse, The Row leather skirt and Manolo Blahnik pumps, the fallen Angel arrived at The Jane Hotel gripping an Olympia Le-Tan The Last Tycoon clutch.
Guess she's not a fan of the The Great Gatsby? LOLz!
Whatevs, Miranda looked hawt and we can't wait to see what she wears tonight!!!

Fans of The Great Gatsby may think the author would have identified most with Nick Carroway, the narrator Tobey Maguire plays in the upcoming movie version.
But it turns out F. Scott Fitzgerald may have made an even better Daisy!
The revered author was apparently an occasional cross-dresser, as seen in this pic from The New York Times way back in 1916!
The pic appeared among promo materials for a musical comedy show called The Evil Eye the writer was performing in while at Princeton.
And if you think F. Scott made quite the fetching lass, you aren't alone! The Times reportedly called the author "the most beautiful" girl in the show!
If only Ru Paul's Drag Race were around a hundred years ago to put that claim to the test! LOLz!

It's a mixed bag of news for Baz Luhrmann and his loyal Luhrmannites!
The good? Warner Bros announced today they plan to release The Great Gatsby on May 10, 2013!
Sweeet! We can't wait to watch Leonardo DiCaprio channel his inner-Robert Redford when he plays the role of America's favorite self-made millionaire, Jay Gatsby, on the big screen!
The bad news? A long, long time before any of us were born, the Mayans predicted the world might end December 21, 2012!
Whoops! The studio might really regret pushing back their opening date!
Assuming the Earth's clock keeps right on ticking through the year's end, we are absolutely stoked to watch Leo, Tobey Maguire, and the affable Carey Mulligan's adaptation of this literary classic!

Scott Leonardo DiCaprio! You make the roaring 20's seem so… sexy/vapid!
We are BUZZING with energetic amore after seeing all the wickedness that is Baz Luhrman's The Great Gatsby!
The stylized flick based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's venerated classic seems stuffed with visual delights, super-talented actors (Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, and The Cap) and will hopefully be JUST as pleasing as Romeo and Juliet.
Join the endless, boozy party (above)! And Check out the gilded promo poster (below)!
But, before you go see the movie, read the book! It's a life changer…

While promoting her upcoming flick Drive at Comic Con, Carey Mulligan took time to talk about that other movie she's doing.
You know, that little thing called The Great Gatsby?

Come on, Baz! We forgive you for Australia! Don't bail on Gatsby now!
Moulin Rouge! director Baz Luhrmann has been attached to direct a film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby for some time, but now it looks like he may exit the project.
According to Baz himself, he will “make a decision in three days’ time."
More from from Baz:
“I think I’ve been a bit shaded out because I want everything to be perfectly positioned on it."
Whatever you need to do to perfectly position everything, get on it Mr. Luhrmann!
You're a fantastic choice for this project, Baz. We're really not sure who else could pull off this project like you.
Do U want to see Baz Luhrmann direct The Great Gatsby? Who do U think would be a good backup option?
