It's always helpful to get an expert's opinion!
Now that Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's relationship has imploded before our eyes at warped speed, we have A LOT of information to sift through. Everyday since Amber filed for divorce, we've received new info like additional pics of alleged domestic abuse and testimonials from the former couple's friends.
Following the initial and INTENSE wave of info, an expert and high-profile divorce lawyer Neena Tankha has spoken out to USA Today on the next phase of the duo's split.
According to Neena, despite the very public nature of the couple's demise, things should become more private over the coming months especially where it concerns money. Essentially, don't expect these two to battle their finance out in court.
Ms. Tankha went on to describe:
"With high-net-worth clients, they prefer to settle the property distribution outside of court. It's not common to see a case of two high-profile people arguing in court over money, especially after a marriage of 15 months (as in the case of Depp and Heard) They are more likely to come to a private settlement, then present it to the judge to sign off, who will then enter the final judgment of the divorce. The divorce is a boiler-plate public document, but the actual financial settlement agreement will not be part of the public court record."
Very interesting! We can definitely see these former lovers hashing their finances out of the public eye in light of Amb's alleged injuries from Depp.
Speaking on those domestic abuse claims, another prominent attorney Fahi Takesh Hallin suggested that the actor fight those allegations if he is in fact innocent:
