FX is developing a television show that could easily be another hit.
After all, the source material won two Oscars!
Joel and Ethan Coen's Fargo is in the process of becoming an hourlong program for the network which made a name for itself with crime shows like The Shield and Sons of Anarchy.
While Noah Hawley, the creator of The Unusuals and My Generation, is writing the pilot, fans should be happy to hear that the Coen Brothers are executive producing it!
It's probably a bad idea to bring this dark and twisted tale without their participation (like the time they tried in 2003), so it's a good thing they are on board!

Are U a fan of the 1996 Coen brothers' film Fargo?
If so, you'll either jump for joy or cringe when we tell you that FX is considering turning the Academy Award winner into a television series.
No deals are in place yet, but MGM Television is looking to partner with the network on a show revolving around a female detective solving brutal murders in small town North Dakota.
Does this sound like something U would want to watch?

And don't get us wrong, we LOVE Fargo, but the new Greg Kinnear / Billy Crudup movie looks a little like a rehash of everyone's favorite indie crime comedies.
Thin Ice is about a shady insurance agent (Kinnear) who tries to steal a precious violin from one of his clients. But when Crudup's character becomes involved, shiz hits the fan and hijinks ensue!
Oh, but the one thing we're super happy about is that Lea Thompson is back on the big screen!!
Watch above!
